Photo Fighter X: Coming to DSiware in Japan soon.

No word on a US release, but I thought this was pretty interesting to look at anyway.

- create fighters and stages using the DSi camera
- due out Jan. 16th in Japan for 200 Nintendo Points
- take pictures of yourself in fighting poses
- add voice work to your character
- give yourself a name and fighting type
- create backgrounds by taking pictures
- stores 8 custom fighters
- use custom characters in both single and two player mode
- single player: side-scrolling beat'em up where you have to beat 100 opponents to win
- two-player: one-on-one fight
- control scheme allows two players to fight on one DSi
- single player control scheme lets you move with the d-pad, and press buttons in combination with directions for moves
- two-player as one player using L and one player using R for your attacks. R plus face buttons lets you do different attacks, face buttons alone move you

It's nothing mindblowing, but 200 points for a fighting game in which you're really the character? I'd be sold. I really hope this comes to North America.

This looks like the kind of game that would take a long time to set up, but it's Nintendo, so they probably made it easy enough to understand. I don't have a DSi, but if they keep releasing cool s**t like this, I might just have to get one.

DSiware seems to be getting crappier every time I check it, but this may change my mind along with that FANTASTIC new Shantae game coming out soon. mrgreen
