They wouldn't last 5 minutes before they went all episode 19 on each other.
Eventually one of them would be kicked out of the car and be forced to walk to the destination.
What if L somehow shrunk down to 2 inches tall and got lost in the middle of the city holding nothing but a bra he stole from Misa to use as evidence in the Kira investigation (which did not shrink when he did)?

I'd squeel like an idiot, inevitably hurting the ears of people within 5 miles of my home. then I'd give him sweets and glomp him until the last minute then I'd cry like hell cuz L died in my house.
