The Imperial Academy had been considered the top School for over a century. children from rich families would be invited to join the student body, where they would find it difficult at best to fit in. Socail groups tended to be tight with only a few openings for new students every few years. Those who did not find a group were ostrizised and bullied into submission with no one to back them up. Because of this many of the students learned from early on that they could not rely on others, but only themselves. By the time they graduated every student was a stronger person than when they entered the school.
