Now I know the fandom itself has had a lot of bad press often more than slanted against its favor. Various sick people using it as a scapegoat in trials for bestiality and such. These interviews and so on has caused a rather large for all intents and purposes hatred and discrimination for furries in general.
Now as most know furries are people who use personas or fursonas for their online and sometime real life identity. These are their representation of their animal self or spirit. Something that has been more than lost in this modern age. The fact that the fursonas are anthro animal and that a fair few images are of pornographic nature does not mean furries are into bestiality or things close to it. Most of the time they are slanted heavily by religious groups usually Christians and extremists. I have met many furries from many countries and read a whole lot. Most if not almost all furries are very happy free thinking people with an odd line of thought much like the animals their fursonas project. So here's the question from a furry himself. Me. ^^ Do hippies sympathize with the fandom or see it as a muddy patch in the idea of freedom?
