About the middle of last year, another guild I am a member of was almost dead. Then I made a chat site for it and s**t became way more active.

After creating that chat, A member of ED-P decided to copy us, and now they have one as well. I thought making a chat would be a nice way to bring the guild closer together.

If I could find an IRC client that actually beeped (rather than having the option available but never working) when a new message comes, I'd use it, but until then, I prefer skype (which currently causes my comp to freeze) and this. Go ahead and make something. I probably won't be online much for the next few days due to muscle pain, but if someone organises something that the guild likes... awesome!

I've played around with mIRC a bit, and there is the option of sound notifications. The stupid thing is, you have to minimize the channel window, before you minimize mIRC, or else they won't work. I'll check google for possible solutions smile
