sega vs capcom ( read opening post so far)

All I wanted to do was ponder and jot down a plausible Sega vs Capcom game of sorts because I was bored at 3am this morning. gonk


This is a project for fun I'm sticking to the end, if it gets rejected or not I want to see it through to being pitched to sega and capcom.


After doing a bit of research on Sega's own characters from the first few systems leading up to (and some that are past) the dreamcast. Including inside and outside of that warped mess of a cast of characters from sonic.

I walked away with nothing then what I've known/ considered already. Learned that Sega is re-establishing itself in Australia if it hasn't done so already. Some stuff about 6 button, touch screen built in controllers. Lastly, some neat sega brand 2gb mp3 player they only offer at their sega themed ufo catcher games.

Then somewhere along the lines I got distracted (I think it was because I don't wanna see Akuma and Dan's ugly a** in this game idea) and started looking up s**t about the street fighter games I ignored/haven't been able to try. In addition (because of last parenthesis listed above) , it's flock of characters.

Any ideas for which brand other then the ones listed? (reasons for some character exclusion will be noted and explained)

*Batting cage (the heavy populated, busy streets in yakuza)

(Have added almost every suggestion noted, just need battle locations now honestly and some idea for a silly huge boss with the obligatory 2 forms a co-op creation of Dr.Robotnik and Dr.Wily )

I was trying hard not to be lazy like capcom kinda is with the overload of streetfighters, usually with the character selection. But one or two more won't hurt I guess since I slapped 5 dark stalkers characters in there. ^^;

@mistro T: I was thinking Alex Kidd, but I had second thoughts. I do want the cast to be bigger, so why not. xD

@Bongardo: I don't know, but thanks for reminding me about it.

@digi: Ok but that's three joke characters, I feel three is plenty now for sega's roster

@Mr. Ronnin: I got sick of zeros face, plus he got in seahorse vs capcom. I'll just throw in Yellow Devil as one of the few playable final bosses as consolation ok?

@Jazzy: I was thinking of monkey ball as a stage to fight in >>; Nights into dreams I guess that would work nicely.

Updating now, I am seriously going to run with this and make it a serious attempt to pitch it at sega. (even if it works out or not)

Also, Amaterasu might be cool for Capcom. I know she's an animal, but some variety could be fun. ^^
