Get a used DS and a used copy of Sonic Rush. But seriously, get TMNT 2 and maybe 3 if you're a big enough fan. 2 is the best in the series. Super Mario Bros 2, Punch-Out, Ninja Gaiden, Jackal, Megaman 2; the list could go on and on. For Genesis try Gunstar Heroes.

For Genesis, Ristar's a pretty good game.

Calling it now. In all seriousness though, I was kind of hoping for some more obscure titles, which I probably should have said, but that's alright since I plan on buying most of those anyway at some point (I'm cheap, and if it's over 10 dollars I have no plans on purchasing it at the moment.) As far as Gunstar Heroes goes, I have it, but on the PSN, and I also have the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection (I know, kind of makes purchasing Genesis games kind of pointless, but whatever.)

The most obscure NES title I played as a kid that I loved was Kung Fu Heroes. That game was fun as hell. Best played with two people.

Do you have one of those 32X expansion things for your Sega?
If so, you should try to find a copy of Knuckles Chaotix.
Sonic & Knuckles is a must too. It adds a s**t ton of zones onto 3, srsly, most fun I've ever had playing a Sonic game.
Also I really really really suggest a DS. With the DSi out, a used Lite shouldn't set you back too much at all, and it doubles as a GBA. >w>

You know what NES game was badass? Joe and Mac. It was this game with two cavemen, and you beat up dinosaurs and got chicken legs and wheels as powerups. Game was boss.
On second thought... that might have been for SNES. I can't seem to remember.

The stages when you got chased pissed me off ******** it. Mephisto just get an SNES.

I actually was considering that, but I've only seen them for $50.00 and I'm way too cheap to bother with that. If I had more money to blow, and room to hook up another system, I'd definitely purchase it. Sonic & Knuckles is one I want to purchase, but being the cheapskate I am, I'm not paying $20 dollars for it when I can just play it through the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection.

For NES, get Ninja Gaiden (Or all 3 of them, if you want). Double Dragon II is also really fun, along with River City Ransom if you like beat-em up kinda games For Genesis, I'd recommend Rocket Knight Adventures, and maybe Lethal Enforces.
Snow Bros. is good for both systems, as well. Battle Toads is really fun, I'd say get that, as well.

I didn't really play any games on a NES aside from Mario games, so can't really help here, but I can agree with going off the track a bit and going for a SNES.
Play it with Super Mario RPG.

Just made a purchase for Shatter Hand. Someone recommended this to me a while back, and looking now it seems like a decent looking game. Some footage of the game.

Legend of Zelda for the NES.
That's all I can think of. Don't come crying to me on how to beat it, though, I'm still trying to do that...and I have only the VC version of it.
Fun and challenging game, though.
