Anybody else read this book? I had to read it for English Lit (but I just watched the movie on Youtube 'cause I'm lazy like that), and I didn't really like it. I mean, it said that all will be revealed or some crazy s**t like that, and it never happened. The governess is an idiot, yet she gets hired again AFTER a kid dies on her watch, and I was expecting a WAY awesomer climax. If they threw in some candles, a priest, an alchemist circle or two, it would have been great! (I'm descended from witches and healers, so I should know how this s**t rolls.) But no, it had to be all, "Oh, no! It's Mr. Quint! *Miles drops dead*" END BOOK! And reading it Fruedian just kind of makes me go blind in the OTHER eye (and kind of reminds me of the above Culties, because apparently the governess goes nuts from sexual repression (LPS and Cookie) and something with the kids (Hash). Yeah.......

And plus, I think Henry James is a bit of a literary troll. "Oh, here's this ghost story with more loose ends than a cheap blanket! Hope you enjoy!" *100 years later, they're still bitching about what the hell it means*

So anyway for my assignment, I've decided to write an epilogue where they all tear Douglas a new one.

Thoughts?
