Something I'm curious about

You know how are those other avi's around the outside of the shops, I wonder if they are the actually ppl in the shop, randomly selected ppl or just randomly created avi's?

I think they're randomly generated. Almost always they look like crap and plenty of people have wicked avis. xd

I have wondered about this myself. I'm going to guess real random people, but I have no clue.

I think it's all random stuff. I have seen only one good one. Also you can't click on the awesome ones to tell them their avi is awesome so their is actually no point to even showing the avis in front of the store.

Actually there's no point in having a storefront.
They should go back to warping you right into the store...

I believe they are real avatars. Like people who have recently viewed that page.

The store front would be interesting if it were more like Towns where you can actually WALK your avatar into the store. Though, they'd of course use more Flash and that is just a horrible idea. I can already only view tiny bits of Gaia because of the massive amount of Flash on the site.

Everybody overuses flash these days. It's ridiculous.

Tell me about it.

I mean one hand, I understand that flash can make things look cool.
But on the other hand, making everything flash is a waste of bandwidth and make it nearly impossible for people with older computers to view the website.

Sure they want to keep up with new tech.
But not everyone can. They're just putting distance between them and everyone that can't. Which considdering the worlds economy right now, is a number that's growing by the day.
