Long story short, I GOT SELECTED as one of the 16 people to be interviewed by these people hosting a scholarship at my school.
Out of the 16, only ten will be chosen.
Benefits of said scholarship?
15K in scholarship money
New laptop. (although it's a Mac... so I'll give it to my mom :3 )
Free private tutoring
A banquet commemorating the success of being chosen as part of the ten.
And $1000 for my Junior and Senior year. (11th and 12h grade, respectively)
And guess what? this scholarship isn't for those who are perfectly rich and have perfect standards, living a perfect school life.
This is for people who are disadvantaged in some way, such as coming from a poor family, being treated badly from peers, etc
And I fulfilled these requirements! :D
