So both games have launched now, but which one did you rush out to get?
Personally, I picked up HeartGold to start. I'll most likely pick up SoulSilver soon, though. I'm only a few hours into the game so far, but I'm enjoying it. It's been so long since I played the original Gold game, though, that I have no idea how close it follows the original story. Some things are familiar, though, like the city layouts and such.
Anyway, beginning Saturday, I'm going to start posting some references and walkthroughs in the HG/SS forum. First up: the Johto Pokedex (254 pokemon in all!) and the Pokewalker routes and info.
Are there any other references/walkthroughs you need help with? Let me know, and I'll try to get those up this weekend too!

a guide on the weekday siblings and where to find them is good, because one they handout their items, i hear they also hand out the ribbons that one lady did in DPPl
also, a guide on apricorn locations by color would help me out (namely, i'm trying to save up pink apricorns, but a by-color guide will help even more than just pink ones)
i also think a guide on the pokemonwho follow you and how big they are would be useful, as for why, well i was shcoked when Arceus vanish when i went itno my pokemon center, but and pkmn taking up two spaces (aka big pokemon) do that

I don't get paid till the 31st. So I'm trying to keep shy away from these types of forums. I am most likely going to get HG first and maybe another DS. 3nodding Look for silly questions from me in a bit. TEE HEE

Mutant Cell keishi_rin I wonder if the pokéwalker thing works for DPPL....... Nope. It only works on the SS or HG game it came with. one correction Mutant, you can only register it to a SS or HG game and only one or the other, also the pokemon you put into the walker can only return to the game copy it came from, so no pkwlkr trading, sadly

Sorry for the delay, guys! I wasn't able to take advantage of my part-time job's high speed internet yesterday like I usually do, and my home connection is dial-up which is SOOOOO MUCH SLOWER. But I'll be posting info beginning tonight! Check the HG/SS subforum!

a recommendation for those that don't have either game yet your best off starting with a Cyndaquil as a Chikorita is useless for the first gym which is flying types and water types are also weak against flying types is what i noticed
sinnoh gym leaders appear in kanto when you get to that bit

*whew* Info on the Pokewalker and the first four routes is up in the HG/SS subforum! More tomorrow night!
Gingeria, I always recommend starting with a fire type! Not that I'm prejudiced against water or grass, but I find that fire types tend to be much more useful later in pokemon games, and tend to be really hard to find. :p In the case of HG/SS, it's really difficult to get a type advantage against the first gym unless you spend enough time with your pokewalker to catch an Elekid, Magnemite, or Voltorb first!

Okay, complete information on all the Johto Pokewalker routes is now available, as well as a complete list of the post-National Pokedex routes. I've also begun working on the complete Johto Pokedex, but I need to take a break for a bit. sweatdrop More soon! You can find those threads in the HG/SS subforum!
In the meantime, if you have questions about HG/SS, feel free to post them here and I'll try to get back to you A.S.A.P.!
