Captain's Office

[King Tripp Veltryn]

King was surrounded by piles of paperwork. Everyone decided to turn in their reports at once. He sighed and started to dive into the nearest pile. The monthly magazine was a lot of work. It was too much paperwork for King's liking, but he accepted the position knowing full well what it meant.

King worked diligently finishing his massive piles of paperwork after three days of stopping only for food and rest. Upon finishing he saw notice of a Captains meeting that he was late for and hurried off.

Hours later he returned learning the meaning of the meeting and some interesting details about fellow Captains. He went to his desk and pulled files on every Captain of the 13 Squads, except of course, The Head Captain's file for it was classified. He began to read each one learning of his fellow Captains. Each more interesting than the last. Soon he came upon his file. He did not open it, just began to stare it down. Wondering what would be inside of it.

Okami would walk into the captains office with his zanpakto at his side and a vial of wakey wakey poison right next to it. He looked as if he hadn't sleeped in five years but felt as if he had sleeped for exactly the same amount. "Hello captain" His voice sounded kind of gloomy or drowsy but also excited kind of evening it out to a -normal-.

King looked up to the young man standing in his office and smiled as he stood. "So, you're my new Lieutenant? It's good to have you. Okami right?" King held his hand out for his new subordinate to shake. It would be good to get the formalities out of the way. He needed to become aquatinted with him for the problems coming for the Soul Society.  

[Mister Trotter]

Okami would shake his hand and then bow slightly "Indded, sir" Okami didn't exactly know the captain yet so he was kind of hesitent to speak to much at once. He looked around the office only for a second or two before redirecting his -sleepy- like eyes back onto the captain. "What am I to do?" Okami wanted to get working right away as he figured making a good impression from the start was always good, or at least get the stuff out of the way to have time to think of poisons and antidotes.

King looked around attempting to think of something for him to do. He wasn't expecting him so soon, otherwise he would have left some paperwork. He shook his head and sat back in his chair behind his desk. "I have nothing you need to do, unless you'd like to take a seat and tell me some about yourself. Something your file wouldn't hold, that stuff I already know." King looked to his new Lieutenant, wondering how he would react to his offer.

Okami tilted his head to the side as if he was thinking. He then took the wakey wakey poison next to his zanpakto and took only a droplet of it. He suddenly seemed wide awake as if he had been resting for about ten years and was finally ready to do something. He sat down in the closest chair near the captain and un-tilted his head "So, what's in my file?"

King was slightly confused as to what the liquid was that he had dropped on his hand, and then smiled. "Mainly that your obsessed with poisons, which is what I'm assuming that was. Otherwise it's fairly uninformative as to what makes you tick." King laughed and scratched his head. "I'm not even sure I'm at liberty to tell you that much."

Okami looked around the room again and then back at the captain once more "That's about it..." Okami wasn't much of a all around person he could do hand to hand combat quite well but, poisons was his favorite thing to do. He even believed it should be a class taught at the academy.

King raised an eyebrow in question. "I'm sure there's more to you than your obsession with poisons? But i'm not going to force you to talk to me after only just meeting me. I do hope however, you will trust me as your captain." King didn't know what else to say. He smiled and scratched his head once more.  

[Mister Trotter]

Okami looked up at the ceiling for a bit and then down at the ground before simply scratching the back of his hand while focusing his attention on the captain "Uh, well...in the academy kidou wasn't exactly my thing...Though I excelled in hand to hand combat. Um....I don't sleep often? Sleeping forces me to lose my thoughts sometimes...that's not good...Uh, A soul reaper lied to me before I was sent to soul society.." Okami didn't know -exactly- what his captain wanted to know so he just began to say things that probably wasn't on his file.

"What do you mean a Soul Reaper lied to you?" This caught Kings attention, also the fact that he seemed to use one of his poisons to keep him awake, but that he would address later. This was interesting. What would a shinigami have to gain by lying to a human. One that was most likely just being sent to the Soul Society?  

[Mister Trotter]

Okami let out a sigh "Well, he basically said the thing, which I recently found out most shinigami say when they send a spirit to soul society. The ole 'It's okay, im sending you to a good place were you can remain in peace' line or something in that area." Okami cracked his knuckles slightly, as well as his neck "But that was hardly true, when I awoke after I got sent to soul society, I saw people get mugged and a whole bunch of other things. It was crazy, it wasn't peaceful or good at all" Okami then took the vial that held the wakey wakey poison and decided to just drink it all. Upon doing so his eyes widened from that of a -sleepy- state.

King smiled and laughed a little, then shook his head and looked back to Okami. "Not everyone's re-birthing is as peaceful as we'd hope. I know mine wasn't....but that was a long time ago. So, what is it that the poison you just drank does? I've noticed you've first just taken a sample of it, then guzzled the whole thing down." King found him interesting, possibly on of the better men to work with him.
