A lot of pokemon are lacking in the move pool department. Which moves do you think would help boost their usage?

For example:

Flareon - Flare Blitz
Typhlosion - Earth Power
Blastoise - Nasty Plot
Absol - Agility

Typhlosion with Earth Power? Do you mean imaginary or real? -looks for where it can learn Earth Power-

Nidoking - Sucker Punch

Great list, Toko!

Spore should be on Venusaur too! He'd be OU'd like crazy.

Also Agility on Ursaring.

I tried to avoid moves that wouldn't suit the Pokémon. Spore is based on releasing 'spores' something mushrooms do. Normally this would limit it to Breloom and Paras families, but Jumpluff has 'cotton spores' so it fits, even if they aren't true spores in the mushroom sense, there are other moves like stun-spore with spore in their name anyway... although that might be an english translation issue... Anyway, I don't think it fits Venusaur that much, nor does it really need it. Agility doesn't really suit Ursaring at all, it's build of it's body doesn't look very fast.

Well, I thought that his grabby pincers on top of his head is similar enough to a crab-claw to use Crabhammer. sweatdrop

More I wouldn't mind seeing:

Blastoise - Belly Drum, Calm Mind.
Golduck - Nasty Plot, Featherdance (does he have any?)
Blaziken - Aurasphere
Poliwrath - Aura Sphere
Luxray - Volt Tackle
Parasect - Cotton Spore
Leafeon - Night Slash

Just because someone has legs doesn't mean they can do a high jump kick. On that note, most of your moves don't seem like they fit.

Giving Blastoise Calm Mind doesn't fit 'cause it doesn't sit down and calmly think about stuff and meditate. It practically looks like you only gave it because it is good for bulky water movesets. Belly Drum doesn't work because Blastoise has an armored belly, instead of a big round fat one, which Belly Drum is supposed to work with.

I could see Golduck doing Calm Mind (and I think it might get it for real... not sure), but not nasty plot, which is all about sitting around thinking evil thoughts against your opponent like some sort of dark wizard or supervillain. Golduck is more of a cool customer type. It might have feathers, but they aren't big enough for featherdance, plus with featherdance they are supposed to come off, and that doesn't work for something that swims and needs a thick layer for protection from cold water.

Parasect might make spores from the mushrooms, but they aren't cotton ones, which are thick and puffy, cotton balls basically. The cotton spore move is basically shooting a bunch of sticky cotton balls at the opponent. Doesn't work since parasect doesn't have the fluffy white stuff.

Leafeon could theoretically puff off Night Slash, but it doesn't fit Leafeon's natural fighting style, including implications of strong connections to sunlight and clean air, and anyway, the slashing with that leaf would end up being a Leaf Blade move, even if it was tried to do sneakily. It just doesn't work out thematically.

The others could work, although I don't know why you'd want Aura Sphere on Poliwrath or Blaziken, since I'm pretty sure they have better physical attack than special attack, it's a move that would make sense for them being able to learn at least.

Thats some big talk from somebody who wants Espion to learn doomdesire. (Jirachi's signiture move)
Goldduck is a duck which is a very feathery type of bird. Sooner or later he is going to learn featherdance.
And I think any pokemon should be able to learn nastyplot, just not through levelup maybe by movetutor. After all its just thinking mean things.

Besides if they made it so rattata can learn sunnyday I doubt nintendo cares about consistancies.

@Toko Ojin
Just Because a pokemon doesn't look like it can do the move, doesn't mean it can't. Like Dugtrio, for example, can use moves such as double slap and slash but yet you don't see any arms. Appearences mean nothing in the pokemon world and in the real world.

I think Feraligatr should learn outrage
I think Ampharos should learn ThunderBolt
I think Primeape should learn Explosion (Long story to why i think that)

And yet... you have legendaries' signature moves on other Pokémon...?

Not that it's impossible for them to introduce a new move that works exactly the same as one (i.e. Healing Wish vs. Cresselia's Lunar Dance), but even so - Mist Ball on Jumpluff/Mareep? neutral I don't get how half the ones you gave Electrode "suit" it, either...
