Nothing you said really sounds strange to me. The only odd part is knowing what you are doing without knowing you are doing it. Anyways, I believe I have a similar situation and can explain it.

A friend of mine and myself both enjoy practicing various martial arts. While we were naturals at hand-to-hand combat, we were something more than that when equipped with swords. Our skill, speed, technique, and tactics reflected that of people who had practiced for decades, according to various onlookers(some of which really were trained and not just self-taught) and we got a video clip of it so we could see for ourselves. Whenever we practiced together we just got lost in the movement and enjoyed the adrenaline of a sword fight.

For a long time we were curious about how that could be. Any teacher we found had nothing to teach us, and we hadn't even been at it for long. This was long before I started learning about things some people consider "supernatural"(to me it's all natural, nothing super about it). As I learned about spirits, spirit guides, energy manipulation, etc, I took an interest in the only thing that I thought could explain our skill. Past lives.

As I looked into past lives I found both my friend and myself have a history of being warriors/soldiers. Him more so than myself, but I had quite a few as well. Most interestingly, for discovering our skill with swords, we have both had lives as swordsmen in the medieval times and we were a couple of the first samurai as well. Most recently I was a Spanish duelist, but that was a couple hundred years ago, before dueling was made illegal obviously.

My point in sharing this story, perhaps your skill comes from past life experiences as well. The only other possibility would be a spirit guiding you through it, but I think a past life seems more probable.

EDIT: I think I should have also explained, our bodies do not keep memories from past lives. Those memories are referred to as "soul memories" and, as the name implies, are stored within the soul. The only reason someone might have influences from those memories, such as sword fighting or practicing an art, would be because the memories are very strong. For example, having done such in a large(from what I have seen, "large" meaning more than two hundred) number of lives. Also, not just doing them on occasion. Sword fighting, for example, was our way of life for many many lives. As such, it shows. The less lives you have with experience in something, the less "natural" you may be at it, however just being a natural at something does not necessarily mean you did it in a past life. I hope this isn't to confusing.

My advice to find out for sure would be to use a pendulum. Ask spirits, preferably your own spirit guides(they would know best), whether or not what you do is the result of what you have done in past lives. You can also ask them for dream visions to give you some idea of what those lives were like. Personally, I've learned allot about myself that way. You can also use tarot, various forms of divination, or just whatever you feel comfortable with, but I would recommend the pendulum.

lol, I made mine as well. Homemade pendulums work better than any other, in my opinion, at least for the person who made it. There's more of your own energy and by working through you your spirit guides attach to it as well. Tarot cards, for me, are mostly entertainment. I consider them inaccurate and untrustworthy, but fun.

lol I know who Chip Coffey is. He has that show with the psychic kids and he is on Paranormal State sometimes.

Also I'm not paying $200 to talk to ANYONE, especially for only 30 minutes.

Seriously man. Who does he think he is charging $400 an hour. I wouldn't pay a lawyer that much.
