"Godmodding"? Really guys?

It's become apparent to me everywhere I look that people are typing "Godmodding" referring to when one "Godmodes". Now, the question turns to this: Why isn't it "Godmoding"? I do believe what everyone has been saying is "God - Modding" in sense this would mean "I am modifying a God." or "I'm God and am Modding." Sure it makes some sense when I put it like that but should it not be "Godmode" as it has always been when it started in video games? Gimme your thoughts everyone, I'm really curious as to see how everyone feels about this term.

I believe the term 'godmodding' derives from the fact that the people are 'modifying their character to become god'.
I can see what you mean, but a Godmode is a noun, while the act of making a Godmode would be Godmodding.
