I tried a new video player recently and it usurped my computers extensions. As many as it could anyway.
I had to re-install all my video players to get it back the way it was and still had trouble with flash files.
(odd, because it can't even play SWF's)
[that's FLV Player, VLC Player, SWF Player - and the new one, SMPlayer]
So I checked out my computers "Known Extension List" and deleted it's record of SWF files. I plugged it back in, and re-associated to my SWFplayer only to find out that the "double-click" function had been disabled on some of them.
Turns out that I had forgotten something when selecting the EXE that it should be played with.
This needed to be at the end of the EXE's file path...
--started-from-file "%1"
(funny how one little line can make or brake SOO much) Hmm.
