Very true they are not. The loss of sleep and the lack of energy does get to you.

I can only pull all-nighters if I'm with 3 or more people. usually at least. If I've had lots of sugar (I've built up a caffine intolerance) and have something to occupy my brain (a good rp for instance) I can do it on my own.
