You talk like we care
You rant
and babble worse than a brook
Then when we don't listen you raise your voice
and question our friendship
as if to say we are horrible people.
We say we've heard it all before
We warn you that we won't listen
but you continue on anyway...
We could write that
we don't care in black sharpie
on our bodies, but you never
never catch on,
we drop hints
we comment
This is when we stop listening
We don't stop caring
Just stop and think for one minute
"Am I listening to my friends?"
The answer is "no"
But you don't care
Your subconscious mind says
"Talk some more, they won't mind!"
But we do.
We do mind
When we don't listen you raise your voice
and question our friendship
as if we are horrible people.
But we aren't
if anything your the horrible person.
Why?
Because you would question our friendship
over your stupid obsessions.
