No I'm pretty sure it's like a legit overheat. I have this friend who bought a big fan to attach to his xbox so it wouldn't overheat as easy. It works...it's just hella loud. But his brother opted to install all his games onto his xbox rather than use the disk. Your games will load faster that way too.

Or so I've been told. I, myself, am sort of xbox retarded.

Keepin fans clean and a good air way open where you have it stored will also be easy cheap ways to help your xbox stay cooler.
External fan attachments also can help.

Aanika_Phaeton - you are correct. Loading the games on your system helps them load faster but the disc is still required to be in the system at the time you decide to play the game.

Yes, whenever your xbox 360 over heats there will be 2 red flashing rings.

I call it the two rings of fire.

Yes my xbox 360 over heated with an intercooler. For a week it's been overheating till I found the source.

The xbox 360 must be flat to open it when the power button is facing up.
If you open up the front panel of the xbox 360 remove it, then open up the right side of the xbox 360, which is the gray panel, you will see a bunch of miniholes!
But instead of clear holes, I saw a bunch of dust covering up all the holes.
So I vacumed up the whole thing and it worked like a charm.

This is what I've learned, every once in a while check your xbox 360's ventilation area, which is where the little holes are located, and make sure that there is no dust blocking up the holes.

Word. Red Ring of Death is pretty much inevitable. It's like mileage on a car.

Yes but Great gaming systems are not always perfect.

This is not an argument Btw just a true reminder
Your Ps3 can have a problem just as an xbox 360 can.
Xbox 360 has great games as well as Ps3 video games
