Rules and Regulations

This subforum is governed by the usual forum rules of gaiaonline, may it live forever. But we will enumerate them for the convenience of those who do not know.

- We will be aware of the 2 golden rules. These are:

-- We uphold the terms of service. As registered members of this site, we will honor the terms so as the high council will continue to bless us with longevity. (not get banned)

-- We follow the rules and regulations. We understand the needs to be civil; be it to be honorable or to stay close to resources, we need to gather our will to control our inner urges so we can enjoy the benefits (or bounty) for longer.

- Specifically, this subforum will be more vigilant in making sure the following rules are followed:

-- We do not spam. We may fill a thread with conversations but we do so because we want to communicate with our fellow men; and not because we just want to fill up a page. Warnings will be issued to those who do not follow and a ban (from the game, of course) will be arranged to heavy offenders. That may well be the heaviest punishment we can give, but note that any more malicious spamming after a properly warned and justifiable ban (from the game), can be reported for an official ban. -- We do not ask our fellow men for their passwords or personal information. Sure enough, in the future, bonds between strangers may be developed when teaming up. But whatever the case, refrain from doing such act in this forum at least as you will be receiving warnings until properly punished.

-- We do not troll. In this game, competitive banters are to be expected, but as much as we want to completely obliterate the opposition in mind and body, keep it to a controlled minimum. We all want to enjoy the game and ruining somebody else's day will not be tolerated in this forum.

-- We keep our posts as kid friendly as possible. There will be violence, there will be horrific scenes, and much much more. But let us not be too graphic in describing them. Respect the fact that not all kids are like us that are not easily affected by mature content; so let us at least give way to them so they can enjoy the game too. Let's all be reasonable adults about this.

-- We do not stretch the page. Stretching the page is silly and sometimes funny, but can be annoying. Any stretching of a page will be corrected and the offender will be warned.

-- We respect the judges. The judges are the law of this forum and what they say goes. We may question them and we will be answered. Remember that the judges are prone to making mistakes too especially in this forum where all movement are governed by them. At least be more calm when addressing a problem. Hereunder is a list of the current judges:



-- To end, we hold the right to change the rules to fit different circumstances that will happen in this forum.

I’m intrigued, but I’ll need to know more before much longer. I know you've only just started this, but it looks like it could be fun.

It would run like this.

Each player will have one character. He will have to choose a race. I suppose there can be a way to create a new character, but the player will have to give up his previous character for fairness sake. No buyback.

The character will have stats. I intend for it to be just simple numbers from 1 to 9 maybe for simplicity's sake. (I might go crazy with 432 in the stats.)

Dice will be involved. It will be important for the following: (1)monster encounter (2)hit (3)item drop raffle (4)damage (5)random effects that need dice (6)the things I missed that probably needs them.

Battles will be turn based narrated by a judge. Laws will be present. It will be in a giant chessboard. (It doesnt have to be a plain flat scare though. Expect terrain.

AP is present for learning skills. I am still debating on putting Exp. if I will, I suppose I'll level cap to 50 like FFTA.

I want the market to move depending on what loot is sold and what things are bought. Like FFTA2 and FF12.

It's still a work in progress, but I am able to come up with this system that is meant for the forums. It will involve the participation of the Judge a lot. So the pace of the game depends on his presence. (which as we already know, we dont really have the same log-in time. so I expect this to start slow which is kinda bad.) But soon enough, when people get the grasp of the game, there won't be much need for me anymore. I hope for that day to come.

That would be great. I'm confident it won't be too hard. I'm kinda afraid it will be too easy. So there will be times of changing some rules to the system for balancing.

players perform their actions (guess a letter)

and judges resolve them (you update)

player1: I attack (he rolls dice and rolls a one which means a miss)

judge: player1 misses marlboro. (since marlboro has no counter) player2 may now take his turn.

law:
fire is forbidden
ice is encouraged

law-abide reward:
plume of chocobo

turn order:
player 2 - current
cuar
chocobo
player 4
marlboro
player 3
player 1

also, the judge controls the monsters. smile so we get to have our own fun.

done and done.

That's what I'm gonna be working on right now. We can start with a few basics like the Cuars and Chocobos then expand.
