The day had started out lovely, then she had run deep into the trees, wading through the swamp waters ever deeper.

The canopy blocked the sun more and more until she could no longer see any sign of the warm golden rays. The darkness closed in, choking off all sounds, all sight, the black swarming deeper and deeper into her lungs.

Destiny is riiiight here.") He's very picky about getting too dirty, which is why he doesn't roam too deep into the Swamp.

I ran, bounding through the sweet grassland flowers coating me with their scents, until I was dizzy and collapsed in a heap, petals covering every inch of fur and hoof, drifting quietly.

He watches, quiet still, as bright flashes rain down upon the Swamp and gradually closer to him. He is silent as the stars fall around him, and five score across his flanks, leaving brilliant white trails.

She saw it so clearly, the lovely, if slightly macabre charm draped across a lovely doe's back. Liana vines, a mouse skull and two brilliant crimson blossoms exploding from the empty sockets. She knew, without knowing how, that the lovely loop was what had brought her into being, and the whispered words of the ephemeral mare standing in front of the doe and the buck by her side. She examined herself, coat and markings, noting the similarities, and knew that these were her parents, and the mare with the charms was her sire's dam. And so, knowing what she knows, she takes a name for herself, staring transfixed at the draped charm. "I claim the luck, and I shall be someone's Lucky Charm."

There was a lovely flat stone lying in front of the foal, still wobbly on his legs. It was a pale, luminescent white, a softly shimmering tone that matched the streak flashing across his shoulders and flanks. It was a simple stone, an easy stone; it was a stone that would reflect what happened around it, an effortless task. The foal looked at the stone, and saw himself reflected, one blank stone showing another.

Naming Dream:He woke running hard, his flanks lathered with sweat-stinking foam, his purple back hidden. His hooves flattened the sweet-smelling plants along the winding bank as he followed the river. He ran, and ran and ran further still, his lungs heaving and his tongue dry, but he did not stop. He pushed on, ducking trees, leaping bushes, until the bank ran out and he finally he splashed down into the cool waters that pooled at the river's end.

Personality: Haze is exasperated, exhausted, and more than a little fed up with his mother, Ghost Orchid, whose mad ideas and experiments continually keep High on his hooves and running away from disaster or drugged out Kin. He tries to act as a moderator for his mother and his sister, Furious Rose, and as a warning to any unwary Kin who wander Ghost Orchid's way. He loves his mother, but she's crazy and obsessed with mushroom research, and she's not above using her children (or her children's friends, mates, cohorts, or random Kin) as test subjects. He's continually surprised that he and his siblings are not more screwed up, due to the nature of their conception.
