Rules
Objective
Dark Knights have invaded town, and it is up to the townspeople to stop them!
IF YOU ARE A DARK KNIGHT
your objective is to kill all the people, and take over the town
IF YOU ARE ANYONE ELSE
try to stop the dark knights by killing them one after the other and saving the town
Players
Before each round starts, we will need to have established players. [If you become a player, please please please be devoted to playing the game you signed up for, or else you will hinder everyone else!]
At least 8 people are needed, but the more the merrier!
Sign-up times for rounds will be decided at the beginning of each round.
There are various roles played by in this game, here they are:
There are some variants to the original game just to keep up with the final fantasy theme
God (1 total)
- the storyteller of the game
- the one who deals roles to others
- the one who thinks of a creative story to go along with each event
- will be chosen at the beginning of each round, randomly
Dark Night (2 total)
- the enemies/ killers
- try not to get caught, while killing as many villagers as possible
- will be chosen randomly(or not) by the God
White Mage (1 total)
- the 'healer'
- is able to heal one person per round
- is chosen randomly(or not) by the God
Warrior (1 total)
- has the 'detective' role
- can take a guess of who is the Dark Knight each round, answer revealed
- is chosen randomly(or not) by the God
Villagers (the rest)
- innocent villagers of the town
- the rest of the people in the game are villagers
How to Play
arrow Please look at the schedule for scheduled times of gameplay. A round will usually take about a few day or so. Sign up times for each 'game' will be posted there as well.
You sign-up by posting that you will play on the game thread.
arrow DAY 1 8 players are needed to start each game, but the more the merrier. At the beginning of each game, a god will be chosen randomly. Each player will make a random number between 1 and 50, and the highest number will be god. [Keep in mind that the games are not played on this thread, but on a separate thread to be posted on the Guild Games subforum. (I will also link to it on the schedule. )]
arrow After a god has been chosen, the god must choose 2 Dark Knights, 1 White Mage, and 1 Warrior. They can choose this randomly, or with any other method they like. They must then pm the person telling them their role. (The roles are supposed to be secretive so be sure not to tell anyone someone else's role! HOWEVER, the Dark Knights work as a team, so the God has to tell the Dark Knights who the other Dark Knight is.)
This step is to be done within the first day after choosing a god.
If you do not get a pm, it means you are a villager
arrow Day 2 The two Dark Knights will use this day to pm the God of who they would like to kill. Each Dark Knight can kill one person. (They can kill anyone other than the God, and yes they can betray each other!)
On the same day, the White Mage needs to pm the God of who they would like to save. (If the person the White Mage saved is a person being killed, then that person will not die.)
On the same day again, the Warrior needs to pm the God of who they think is a Dark Knight. The God needs to respond with a 'yes' or a 'no'. (The Warrior can use this information and try to persuade the group during TOWN MEETING.)
arrow DAY 3 This day can only occur if all of the requirements of Day 2 are met. When all the requirements are met, the God will post "TOWN MEETING" on the thread to indicate that the town meeting has started.
During the town meeting, the God will first post the story. Creatively stating who was killed. They will also state who was revived (only if they were going to be killed first though)
After the story, it is Town Discussion time.
This time is for everyone to post and discuss who they think is the Dark Knight. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REVEAL YOUR IDENTITY. The Warrior can try to persuade the villagers of their knowledge during this time as well (while not revealing their identity)
The Dark Knights can also use this time to frame others.
At the end of this day (this day will take place for around a whole day). When God believes that discussion time is over, they will post "VOTING TIME" on the thread.
When voting time starts, no discussion is allowed anymore, and each player (other than God) will post who they think is the Dark Knight (everyone gets to vote, Dark Knights included).
After the voting(when each player has voted) the God will announce who is killed, and their role in the town.
arrow the whole process happens again starting from Day 2 until both the Dark Knights have been killed, or all civilians have been killed.
arrow if the Dark Knights win, each of the Dark Knights will get 2 points in the scoreboard, otherwise; all civilians will get 1 point.
