The Lake

Erik just grunted and avoided eye contact.

Amy looked at the ground unsure of what to say "im sorry if i made you mad.."she finally managed to say.

"I'm not mad." Erik muttered. "You just...remind me of someone." he said and looked a little sadder than usual.

Amy vanished "um is this better?" she asked not wanting him to be sad.

Erik blinked for a while then did something he didn't think he'd ever do: laugh. He laughed for about five minutes then wiped away a few tears. "No, it's all right." he said, still smiling.

Amy reappeared and smiled "you have a nice laugh" she said still smiling "you should laugh more often"

"Thank you." Erik smiled. "I had forgotten how good it feels to laugh." he sighed contently.

"your welcome" Amy said as she stretched a little "laughing always feels good".

"Mmm," Erik nodded and looked at the lake. "So that fading thing you do, what are you?" he asked softly.

"oh..um im a wind elemental" Amy said holding her hand up "i can fade in and out of the wind" Amy watched as her hand faded and then came back "its a little weird when its really windy i will just disappear"

"Do you have any control over it?" he asked.

"i have pretty good control...i mean i can fade on command and return" she said softly "but...sometimes i have no control at all"

"Mmm, I can understand." Erik said softly and paused when a small gust of wind began to blow. He pulled out a black bandana and wrapped it around his right eye before his hair could be blown away from it.

Amy tilted her head to the side "why the bandanna?" she questioned
