I was wondering how you get to be a real part of the crew I don't really know who to do anything, because I am new on Gaia and I want to be a part of something so I would greatly appreciate it if someone would explain these things to me

Well the application to do it is on the first page of the forums.
And to be honest, if you are new to Gaia, you will not be allowed to get into the crew level.
