ⓐ ⓦⓞⓛⓕ'ⓢ ⓒⓗⓐⓝⓒⓔ ⓐⓣ ⓛⓞⓥⓔ ♥ Believe it or not, werewolfs exist.
There's a small clan located in Forks, Washington and they dominate La Push territory. It's Sam Uley's tribe, they're gruff, tough and no fluff. Most of the members have imprinted on someone - a "love at first sight" sort of thing, only stronger - except for one; Jacob Black. With his best friend getting married and off on her honeymoon he's been left in the dust, broken hearted and torn down. Nothing feels worse than being second best.
But there's a new girl in town, lives just a little way from La Push, and weird things are starting to happen. So it's only a matter of time till she jumps into the fantasy world right? Or will she stay oblivious like most of Forks inhabitants?

xxxxxxxxMelissa Ann Taylorx"Doctor! Doctor! I think my heart stopped beating."It was well into a week since she moved to Forks and most of the boxes had been unpacked, except her own. Melissa's room layed with half oopened boxes while some still had duck-tape sealing them together. She looked up at the ceiling, steadily breathing and blinking; a sure sign she was still alive. In one week she had accomplished several things, getting a job at the cafe on main street, instantly hating the weather and making zero friends; except for the ones she worked with but then again she would hardly call them friends since all they did was idly chat with each other at work.
Melissa sat up, rubbing her hair with her hands and messing it up. She was frustrated, being in a place she didn't like was bad enough but being the summer was a bit worse; how could you even call it summer with the way the weather was? She pushed off her quilted blankets, standing up and stretching before looking at herself in her closet mirror. Tired and run down came into her mind before walking out of her room, going to the bathroom to start her day and get ready for work; oh joy. ❤❤❤ Melissa was ready, messenger bag slung on, small trench coat, and an ivory dress with matching flats. Sure it might have been to guissied up for work but it's the only place she ever went, might as well dress up for something. She tightened her bag before quick stepping down her stairs, pushing the front door open and letting it slam behind her. There wasn't a point in saying goodbye to her family, they were probably asleep anyways. She walked outside, the air humid as always, making the ground a bit moist. Melissa opened up her car, a cheap toyota that her mother had bought off one of her friends for cheap - five thousand - it wasn't her dream car but it did get her from her house to the cafe; better than walking. Melissa revved out of the driveway, going down the street as fast as she could; she was never late but it didn't hurt to be early. Getting there was the fun part, with the cafe being on the street parking was extremely limited especially since it was all parallel parking. She went a few stores down, finally finding a spot infront of a quiant bookstore. Melissa wiggled her body out of the car seat, getting a bit frustrated once again at having to walk to work. When she finally made it, it wasn't busy at all; a surprise since it was early in the morning - the time when it became the busiest. She walked behind the counter and into the back, putting down her bag and taking off her coat, trading the items for a dark brown apron. Slipping it on she went back into the front and said her "hello's" to her coworkers, sitting down at the cash register while one of them went on break.

∫∂∫ Jacob Black ∫∂∫
"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." Jacob woke to a terrible nightmare. The dream he had happened to be pretty good. It had something to do with Edward, that disgusting cold one, deceiving Bella one day. She decided to leave him and go to Jacob. However, Edward wasn't going to let go that easily: the two dueled against each other, and eventually Jacob won. He got to kiss Bella just as he had before, although this time, she did it with a full heart.
Here was the sad reality: Bella was now a Cullen. Edward wouldn't deceive her, and they would live happily together as a cold, dead couple forever. This hit Jacob hard. Usually, it was hard to inflict pain upon him, especially for a regular human, which Bella was at the moment. She had tried to punch his face once, but he remained unharmed while her hand was fractured. This time, she had gotten him in the heart, and it hurt terribly.
He rolled out of bed, annoyed with the Cullens, and all vampires for that matter. He went through his usual routine of getting ready for the day. After eating breakfast, using the bathroom, and changing into some acceptable clothes, shorts and a dark t-shirt, he went out to meet Sam.
However, Sam wasn't outside when he got there. No one else was either. Hmm... he thought. I guess all the vampires vanished with the Cullens. I knew those guys were no good. He wondered what he should do with himself that day, so he decided to go into town and see what all was happening. He expected nothing, since nothing ever happened in his pathetic town. Bella was the best thing that had ever happened to it, and now she was gone. ∫∂∫∂∫∂∫∂∫∂∫∂∫∂∫ Hopping on his motorcycle and riding into town, Jacob rode up to a local café to eavesdrop on people. That was the only way he was going to get any information these days, even though most of the information wasn't interesting enough to be worth listening to.
When he walked in, he found a new face. He raised an eyebrow at the girl that was sitting behind the register. I've never seen you around here, he thought as he walked up to her. "Excuse me. I'd like a small cup of coffee if you don't mind. Decaf. No whip. I take it black. Thanks." He pulled out his wallet while he waited for her to get his coffee.

xxxxxxxxMelissa Ann Taylorx"Doctor! Doctor! I think my heart stopped beating."Melissa spent her first hour texting, and during that time no one had ordered anything. The few people that were there were sitting, talking amoungst themselves or reading a story. All of them were notely dressed breezily, shorts, tank tops and basic shirts. This only made her melt into herself, focusing on texting her friends from back home.
The door to the cafe dinged, the small bells ringing in a new customer. But even though she heard them at the same time she didn't, it didn't register that anyone was going to order coffee at that moment - and then someone did. Wait...what did he say? "Yeah, sure."
Melissa stood up, slipping her phone into her back pocket before turning around and looking at the cups. What size did he want? Tall? She took it out, going over to the machine as she tried to whip together what else he wanted. He said black, black what?
For a moment she felt like turning around to ask him but thinking about it, it seemed rude. As if he was being ignored when he ordered it.
She stood there, turning on the machine and thinking for a moment. Okay, improv. Melissa whipped up a black decaf, leaving it at that and if she left something out then she'd just add onto it.
"Here you go, tall black decaf. 5.48." Melissa put his cup on the counter, sliding it over before turning around and powering off the machine's motor.

"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." Jacob waited patiently for the girl to finish up getting his coffee. When she set the coffee onto the counter in front of him, he smiled and pulled out a $10 bill. He handed it over to her with a small grin.
"Thanks, and keep the change," he said as he took the coffee. "I haven't seen you around here before. You must be new to Forks, correct? I'm Jacob. Jacob Black." He laughed at the coincidence that both his last name and the way he took his coffee were black.
She's kinda cute, he thought to himself. He started leaning against the counter and drinking his coffee. The sudden surge of energy that ran through him sent a shock to his mind.
A few minutes later, Jacob looked up at the door. He had heard the bell above the door jingle and knew that someone had come in. It was Sam and the rest of his pack. He grinned and turned back to the girl.
"Hey, I've gotta go now," he said with a warm smile. "I hope you enjoy your time here... however long you are going to stay here, that is. Maybe I'll see you later." With that, he turned around and jogged over to Sam after tossing out the paper coffee cup. Then he was out the door and gone.

xxxxxxxxMelissa Ann Taylorx"Doctor! Doctor! I think my heart stopped beating."Melissa turned around, taking his money and looking at it while she rolled her eyes a bit; still pulling out a smile. She snorted and stood at the cash register, opening it up and putting the bill inside. "Thanks."
When his friends came they weren't exactly what she expected, not that she was judging him but the usual people in Forks weren't as dark as they were. She wondered how they even tanned with no sun.
Well there goes all my excitement for the day. She closed the register, sitting back down on her chair before leaning back.
"Hey, you can take your break now." Melissa sat up, turning her head toward her coworker Audrey. "So soon?" Audrey shrugged, before rubbing the side of her arm. "Yeah, we're going to have to close early anyways. There's been some reports of attacks on the streets, someone thinks its just a theif."
Melissa leaned on the counter infront of her, putting her elbow on it while she continued to look at Audrey. "So what time should I be back?" Audrey of course snorted, which made her raise her eyebrow. "Your break's only fifteen minutes."
She blew air out of her mouth, making her bangs float upward with an aggitated breath. "Alright thanks." Melissa stood up and walked, seeing no point to take off her apron from her body she just walked own the street. A few bills in her hand to maybe go get something from the bakery.

∫∂∫ Jacob Black ∫∂∫
"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." Jacob walked out with Sam and his pack, wondering what exactly could be going on. All the rest of them were smirking. They seemed to have a secret, and he wanted in. Nobody likes being excluded from secrets and gossip.
"Sam, what exactly are we doing today?" he asked as he looked at the others. They didn't seem very serious, except for Sam, who was the leader, so it was almost his job to be serious.
"Well, we just wanted to tell you that you can just relax today," Sam replied. "All of you are going to just have a day to yourselves. No need to worry about vampires right now. We'll just have some fun. Be guys. All that kind of stuff." The others chuckled a bit.
Jacob raised an eyebrow at them all, suspicious of this little vacation he had from vampire hunting. "Wait, you said 'All of you.' What are you going to do, Sam?"
Sam grinned. "You've heard the reports of attacks recently, right? Well, I'm just going to go in and investigate. You guys have fun now!" Sam walked off and started to ask others about the incidents, seeing what he could find out about the situation.
Jacob looked at his friends, wondering what on Earth they were going to do with their time. He looked over towards the bakery, as were all of his friends.
"Hey, Jacob, there's that girl that you were talking to earlier," laughed Embry as he pointed towards the girl that had served Jacob earlier.
"Don't point, it's not polite," replied Jacob with a smirk. He shook his head, wondering what would happen to that girl in this pathetic, small town.
Jacob could hear his stomach growled, but then realized that it wasn't just him. All of his friends were laughing at the fact that they were all in the mood for something to eat. They decided to head over to the bakery, especially since Embry wanted to spend some quality time with that girl at the café.

xxxxxxxxMelissa Ann Taylorx"Doctor! Doctor! I think my heart stopped beating."Melissa yawned, feeling the strain of waking up early but you have to do what you have to do. She walked into the bakery, a long line ahead of her while she sighed wondering if she'd make it within fifteen minutes. She dipped into her pocket, pushing her apron - which was white and only covered her hips. Looking ahead of her there must have only been five people, something she didn't stress too much about but they took so long to order that she suspected the place was run slowly.
Melissa counted her bills, with nothing else to do but lean to the side and look at the pastries that awaited her.
The door dinged again and she turned her head around, spotting the boy from earlier. She yawned, turning back around again with only one person in front of her now.
When her turn came she bent down, looking at the glass and pointing to the one she wanted. She watched as the guy wrapped it up for her.

∫∂∫ Jacob Black ∫∂∫
"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." Jacob and his friends walked into the bakery and got in line behind the girl from the café. All of them pulled out their wallets and looked up, wondering what they should get to satisfy their hollow stomachs.
"Hey, I'm Embry," said Embry as he tapped the girl on the shoulder. He gave her a flirty smile, to which Jacob hit him on the back of the head. Embry glared at him and said, "Dude, can you at least let me get a girl? I mean, I understand that you're still upset and everything, but..." Jacob shushed him and smiled at the girl.
"Please excuse my friend, Embry," Jacob said with a sigh. "He is desperate for a girlfriend right now. He feels lonely without someone that cares about him."
Embry nudged Jacob in the ribs. "Way to be a wingman, Jake." He turned back to the girl and gave her the 'sup nod. "So, what's your name? And do you have any free time later so we can get to know each other better? Maybe some dinner? Coffee? A tour around Forks?"
Jacob shook his head and sighed, noticing that they were next in line. He went up to the counter and pointed to a Danish that lay in the glass case. Then he pulled out a few bills and handed them to the cashier before leaning against a wall with his pastry. "Embry, whenever you're done attempting and failing to get a girl, please order something quickly so everyone else in line can get a chance to eat." He smirked and took a bite of his Danish.
