Violence is funny. Getting hit in the crotch, falling down the stairs. Male or female ...I'm not bias. I laugh at people getting hurt. As wrong and horrible as that sounds, I find that humorous. ......And I do find some sexual jokes funny, but there is a time and place for them, in my opinion. If you are together with a group of friends and crack a joke, so be it! But, a public venue where there are under 18 "children" present ...making a sexual pun or euphemism can be offensive. Not everyone is comfortable with sexual humor, Gaia is for everyone. Therefore, they should respect those who are offended by those sorts of things. Especially if it is an achievement or an item which they expect everyone to try for. .........I mean, if they were to make a "sex joke forum" that is their business, they can do so, but I will not visit it. That's my right. BUT, if they were to make it a requirement to visit that forum, then it's crossing the boundaries. ...And that's what it feels like they are doing with these new achievements. Yes, they are optional ...but they are throwing it up in your face constantly trying to coax you into it.

Dude: I didn't say I'd never laughed at a crotch hit. I said I didn't find most euphemisms funny. And like Rini says, people laugh at physical comedy. I do not always laugh at crotch hits. It depends on the sitch and characters. Most of the time, I think you'd find me quite sympathetic, if you'd quit looking for a reason to get upset. I didn't laugh at the poor kid on The Faculty, which we watched just recently, but somehow you don't notice that, only the stuff that you want to get mad about. If I didn't maintain some amount of distance with the physical injuries shown in movies, I'd never watch anything. Most of the time, if you could look into my head at those points, you'd hear, "It's not real. That guy/girl didn't really get hurt. He/she's an actor."
If you find that sort of comedy offensive, fine. I can understand that; in fact, we're practically on the same page. I'm not trying to convince you otherwise, which you'd have noticed if you'd quit looking for an argument. But I do like to point out that if you have a problem with crotch hit comedy, you only have other men to blame. Who goes to the dumbass physical comedy movies that involve a lot of crotch hits? Men. Who makes those movies? Men. Who gets a kick out of hitting young men in the crotch in high school and college because they think it's funny and a fun way to bully them? Young men. Men torture each other just fine, regardless of who's, or if anyone's, laughing.
I do find it ironic that you've chosen this sentence to defend your viewpoint: "All it does, is teach girls (and any guy that's stupid enough not to know of the possible permanent physical harm) that's ok to go around hitting guys in the nuts for their own amusement." This is precisely the sentiment that I have tried to explain to you regarding other issues numerous times, and you have rejected it every time. Basically, you're saying that this sort of entertainment shouldn't exist because it MIGHT encourage people to imitate it. Sound familiar? Like when I argue against rape games or child porn? Welcome to the other side of the mirror.
Rini: Just yes. 3nodding
