Vinny rolled over in her bed, grunting loudly when the sunlight streaming through her widow hit her closed eyelids. Muttering swear words angrily, she pushed her blanket down, reluctantly getting up. She was not a morning person. Or an afternoon person, acording to her alarm clock which read 12:37.
"Who invented waking up?" Vinny mumbled angrily to herself. She shambled over to her wardrobe, grabbed the first outfit she saw, which was a pair of dark jeans and a bright blue t-shirt, and threw them on. She made her way over to the mirror hanging on her wall and grunted again as she saw her tired face staring back at her. She ran a brsuh through her messy hair, applied some make-up and then walked out her bedroom door.
Showering in the morning was not something Vinny had perfected, usually opting to shower before she went to bed. She just couldn't manage enough evergy to wash herself in the morning. Whenever she tried she usually ended up just standing in the warm water for close to an hour, being yelled at to get out, got out, and then realise she had forgotten to actually wash. She was going to need coffee, and fast.
The walk from her bedroom to the kitchen was a bit of a blur, but Vinny ended up there safe and sound somehow. It was actually the kitchen reserved for teachers, as it held things like coffee, but older students were allowed to use it. As she entered the room, the smell of coffee made her perk up, already becoming more alert. Grabbing herself a generic blue mug from one of the cupboards, she filled her glass with the heavenly brown liquid, adding generous amounts of sugar and cream. With a deep sigh, she took a sip of the warm drink and felt the world start to focus a bit more.
Sighing happily, Vinny made her way to the nearest sitting room, flicking the television on to the music channel and getting comfy on a couch. Today was going to be a good day, definately.

A live breaking report on the music channels as well as the regular news channel blared around the world to anyone watching about the sudden turn for the worst for popular lead singer of Banshee's Kiss, Zoe Cooper. The shaky camera work indicated the unprepared rush to get to New York City's Lenox Hill Hospital for the arrival of the vocalist's younger brother, also international rock star, Zane Cooper.
So much for the supposed 'secret location' of pop star's recovery and the expression on the brother's face, despite hiding his eyes with heavily tinted shades, made it clear he wasn't happy about the gathering crowds. When the sleek black limo came to a stop at the hospital's entrance, police and hired security alike when on the defense when the rock star stepped out of the vehicle. Deep red hair, long and braided over his shoulder, came into view as he adjusted the glasses on the bridge of his nose as he ignored the cries for attention from fans and reporters alike.
Despite the rush to get to the hospital, Zane didn't looked like he had to skip any steps getting ready. He was wearing his trademark gothic punk look. Shredded black jeans with a sleeveless orange shirt, closer to a tunic in length. Off the shoulder fishnet shirt and heavy black boots accented the look as well as the two piercing on his right brow and one on lower lip. For all the tattoo-loving girls out there, the single teardrop beneath his left eye fell in view. He truly was rock icon to behold. Zane seemed to be the type that could get by just by looking like a hardcore rocker.
However, it was clear he didn't have the time or patience for fanatics. Taking long strides to get through the masses as quick as possible, Zane was far too distracted to notice the growing crowds. Ever since he'd announced his sabbatical from music, an uproar surrounded the reason. Like any good celebrity gossip, eventually someone had gotten close enough to the truth that when Zane received a phone call about his sister's worsening condition around 9:00 that morning, someone was waiting to alert the world.
He glanced back as he passed through the automatic sliding doors of the entrance at the barrage of questions and screams of undying love of his music. To most people, it would be a blur...just noise, nothing worth trying to respond to. However, due to his unique...gifts...Zane heard every word, every tone, and every accusation. If it had not been for some person somewhere in the back of the crowd to the left saying 'This is probably just some publicity stunt', Zane probably wouldn't have taken the time to look back.
The rocker was immediately greeted by a small team of doctors who had to hide their awe of meeting the young icon and remember that they had been treating another celebrity for months now. "Mr. Cooper, right this way." Of course, it was all too mechanical for Zane but this was no time to go back to his usual ways. Every interview, article, and concert showed the world that Zane Cooper obviously played the rebel of society.

Vinny rolled her eyes as she saw the TV flick from a music video to a news report about some rocker dude. She knew he was, had heard his music, and didn't really care what the papparazzi had to say about his 'wild' private life or any other stupid celebrity gossip. She raised the remote, about to change the channel, when the a clip started to play.
Vinny's hand slowly started to droop as she watched the clip. Screaming fans were all over the place, barely being held off by security as the rocker walked into a hospital, looking the worse for wear. Vinny shook her head, annoyed that his supposed 'fans' would be so disrespectful as to bombard the guy at the hospital. Who does that? And what about the other patients, they're probably just trying to rest, and can't because of the stupid fans. She never really got the whole fanatic thing. Sure, she liked certain bands, or actors. But she wouldn't follow them around and wear 'Mrs. Something-or-other' t-shirts, screaming like an infant.
The clip switched back to a news anchor, who said something about the rocker, Zane's, sister being in the hospital. So he was visiting her. Well, at least they had enough money to pay for all the medical bills, being rocker stars and all.
Turning off the TV, Vinny sighed. Sometimes the outside world was just too depressing. Oh well, at least this wasn't more bad news about mutants and mutant laws. Shrugging her shoulders, Vinny stood up. With a quick glance around the room, she decided to go for a stroll around the mansion and see who she could find.
Vinny was surprised when she found the hallways to be empty, no one in sight at all. She wandered for a while, only bumping in to Proffesor Ororo, whom she exchanged a quick 'hello' with, then went on her way. She ended up near the large entrance doors of the school, contemplating going outside for a walk.

Zane sighed to himself instead of actually verbally answering that the doctor's could lead the way to his sister's room. He ignored the screams from outside ranging anything from his name to 'Rockheart Revelation', the name of the band he and some friends, or what could be considered the closest to him, created the group two years prior. If Zane could block it out? Well, he probably wouldn't...the obnoxious sound was better than any silence.
After traveling up an elevator to the fourth floor, Zane followed the doctor passed several doors to where his sister was waiting but in the process...he spied some familiar faces. Well, not faces. Two people, a man and a woman, were decked out in plain business suits and sunglasses no different than his just outside where his sister was waiting. He couldn't recognize their full face because he'd never seen them but their heartbeats...now those sounded familiar.
Not making an effort to hide his cursing, he growled under his breath. "Damn it...what the hell do you want?" At first, the doctor assumed Zane was talking to him until he also noticed the professionals up ahead. Before the doctor could defend a patient's privacy, Zane picked up the pace and walked passed them.
"Mr. Cooper." The tone clearly made it seem like these people were associates of the rock star but he walked right passed them, staring straight ahead as if they weren't there.
"Not interested." He spoke with such a firm tone, it surprised the doctors and his security that the strangers followed him into the room. The suited man took the initiative to block the door while the woman followed him to Zoe's bedside. Zane crossed his arms and stared down at his unconscious sister. And here he thought she was making progress. She'd battled with leukemia her entire life, including two bone marrow transplantation and radiation therapy. He hated watching it. Rejected transfusions from donors. "I said not interested." For a moment there, he forgot the woman was there but the rambling from the doctor arguing with her comrade woke him up.
"Mr. Cooper. Please understand this not a hostile visit." Zane knew all too well the woman's words were flawed. The woman stood next to him, staring down at the his sister as if she too had some connection to the sick. "CLL. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Her recent transfusion has failed. Leading to infection and concern for future radiation treatments." It was eerie how empty the woman's tone was as she spoke about Zoe's condition, especially to her only brother.
"I don't care that you stalk me." Zane finally looked at the woman, his brows arched in growing anger. "But you leave her out of this...she's not what you're looking for."
"But you are, Mr. Cooper." The woman said without an ounce of remorse for the situation. Unbeknownst to the hundreds of screaming fans outside, their 'idol' happened to be one of the more hated populations in society. This woman knew Zane was a mutant and that his voice was a tool enhanced by said powers. In fact, the woman was from an underground movement that most governments around the world didn't know of. They signed funds over without knowledge because it was easier to say they couldn't be held responsible.

((I don't really know what else to post...))
Vinny was getting bored really fast, and decided to take a spin in the danger room. She couldn't do anything in there by herself, as her powers were more able to target other people, so she wondered the building a bit, gathering people she knew would be up for a good fight. By the time she was in the danger room changing rooms, she had managed to get Rogue, Bobby, Jubilee, Logan and Kurt to fight with her. They had broken off into teams, Rogue, Bobby and Logan on one team, Jubilee, Kurt and Vinny on the other. The fight would be an interesting one.

((Yea, sorry! I'm sending Zane your way, I just wanted to establish his foundation... gonk ))
Zane was about the curse up a storm when someone finally entered the room without being deterred by the suit. It was none other than his and Zoe's agent, one of the only people Zane knew to not be shown up by weirdos in suits. There was a smirk on his face when his agent showed up because the two in suits immediately left without a word. The reason, of course, was because a team of police officers was close behind. Clearly, this had happened before...Zane hated the fact that this organization only took the hint from other humans. When he started to thank his agent, he was cut short.
"Don't bother." The agent started as he closed the door. He had a look of irritation on his face when he turned back to the red head. "Look, Zane. Babe. I've been your agent and manger for two years. Zoe's for almost eight. I can handle pretty much anything but that I.R.M.A group or whoever they are, that's not in the job description." He and Zane just stared at each other. As if Zane asked for something like this to plague his and his sister's life. Zoe and their agent were the only people who knew that Zane was indeed a mutant. Well...besides I.R.M.A and mutants who had come to him in hopes of recruiting him. "Look, you gotta keep your freaky personal life in check. You're a success now but I'm tired of-..."
"Don't bother." Zane, using his agent's words against him, was already done with this visit. He could see his sister was stable but more importantly, he could HEAR that she was alright. With ears like his, Zane could hear Zoe's heart rate, blood flows, and even the charges of brain activity were alright for the time being. "You think your life is hard...? Bull..." Kind of a stuck-up thing to say, the thing one expects from a celebrity.
He could feel a headache brewing and Zane stormed towards the door against his agent's arguments. Ignoring his name being yelled, Zane booked it with a fast walk back down the hall. Zoe's primary doctor followed, being just as ignored as the agent. He reached the elevator quick enough that the doors started closing but the doctor stopped them in time to hand Zane a folder. "What's this...?" The doctor had no answer for him so he rolled his eyes and shook his head in a sort of disappointment. On the short elevator ride down, Zane opened the folder and flipped through its contents. There were several medical reports and histories of Zoe's. Same old, same old.
However...something fell from the pages to the floor. It was a folded news article. Zane picked it up and as soon as he saw it, he narrowed his eyes. The photo was of a great property with a large building in the distance, clearing the photo was taken from afar. The title of the article read 'Mansion of Mutants: Local School for Gifted Youngsters Under Fire'.
He cursed under his breath and got through the still rambunctious crowds outside in record time, taking shelter in the limo. Zoe must have put the article in there sometime between when they last met and now. Zane knew the school...Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters in upstate New York. In other words...mutant school. He'd been trying to avoid taking sanctuary in a place like that...it might get out into the public that Zane was a mutant and only God knows what the repercussions would be.

((That's okay, I understand! Just send him over soon! razz ))
A huge piece of debris flew passed Vinny's right shoulder, narrowly missing her. She swerved to the left, ducked, and jumped behind a fallen car. The danger room was crazy today, cranked up to it's highest levels, the mutants fighting not only each other, but the enemies the room created as well. Vinny closed her eyes, taking a few deep breaths and calming herself. The battle had been hard so far, Vinny unable to remember a time when she had worked so hard to win before. She had even gone as far as to try and take Logan down, something she had never done before. He was a class 5 mutant, and very few people could break his stride.
Opening her eyes, Vinny turned and peered over the car, locking her eyes on Logan's large form. He was in the middle of a fight with Kurt, who was holding his own remarkably well. Logan's metal claws slashed down in an arc, and would have pierced Kurt's blue flesh, had he not teleported a few feet to the right. Vinny stepped away from her shelter, eyes and ears open and alert.
When she was near the two fighting men, she started to focus on Logan. In her mind she welled up the feelings of fear, pulling on every memory she ever had of the feelings. Going into the dark basement as a little girl, a nightmare about vampires, taking her cat to the vet, the one and only time she had encountered the Brotherhood, mainly Sabretooth. She focused on the way she had felt, the adrenaline pumping through her veins, her heart pounding, her senses sharpening. The blind panic, the way her mind had shut down to the fear. She puled all the feelings together, and pushed. She pushed them towards Logan, letting the emotions seep out of her and into the air around her, sent them wafting towards the large mutant.
The whole process took less than ten seconds, and as Vinny watched intently, still pushing the emotions forward, Logan faltered. His arm, which had been raised high in the air, poised to strike, dropped to his side. He stood motionless for a moment, then dropped to the ground, curling in on himself. A strangled wail came from his prone form, sending shivers down Vinny's spine, and she immediatly let go of her powers, feeling the emotions dissipate in the air. No longer thinking about the competition, Vinny ran forward, falling to her knees next to Logan's still form.
"L-logan? Are you...I'm sorry." Vinny said nervously, biting her lip. Kurt stood somewhere to her left, watching silently. The sounds in the room started to quiet, and Vinny realised the others were standing by as well, looks of awe and horror marring their faces. Bobby looked terribly impressed, while Rogue looked like she wanted to rip off Vinny's head.
Logan grunted, and uncurled from his position on the ground. He sat up straight, rubbed a hand through his hair and shook his head.
"Some power you got there, kid." Logan grunted, and Vinny felt herself deflate.
"Oh, god, I'm so sorry. I didn't think, I mean, god! I'm just really sorry." Vinny gushed, feeling ashamed at using her powers.
"Kid," Logan said firmly, placing a hand on Vinny's shoulder, "Relax. You did what you were supposed to, and put me in my damn place. Good job."
Vinny looked up to see the earnest look in Logan's eyes, and a small smile pulled at her lips. "I did kick a**, didn't I?"
Logan chuckled, and the rest of the room started to laugh as well. Logan stood and helped Vinny to her feet, telling everyone that they were done for the day. Vinny headed towards the change room, still feeling guilty for using her powers to make someone she actually liked feel bad, and ready for a hot shower.

"Wow...there really isn't much out here..." Zane said, sounding somewhat bored, to his driver through the open interior window between the front and back of the limo as they passed through a rather rural part of the New York. Though he wasn't fully 100% on his decision, he'd decided to give in to his sister's request and try to find some sort of refuge within Xavier's school. Well, the school part was questionable. He already had his GED so it seemed that this was mostly a place for Zane to rest.
They'd been trying for well over two hours. No doubt, the locals who'd spotted the limo driving through the area weren't used to it. Little did they know, a rock star was waiting inside and wondering if he was making the right decision revealing himself to this Xavier and his X-Men. Zane knew nothing besides what was in the media, though he had 'heard' some things to his sublime ability to hear from private conversations up to miles away from him.
Zane was more concerned with being away from Zoe. She was a tough chick but she was also currently unconscious. Unlike her brother, Zoe was not a mutant. It was strange that one sibling was a mutant and one wasn't. Part of Zane wanted to know if either of their parents were mutants but most of him hated them beyond all comprehension. It was incredibly unlikely that it was a side effect from his mutant powers, never being able to turn them off and suffering from constant migraines because of it, but Zane always seemed to be in a bad mood.
He lowered the window to get some fresh air and leaned his elbow on the armrest, sinking his chin into his palm. His driver was beyond confused why his employer had said to drive north and just keep on going until Zane said stop. Finally, he got his answer.
"Pull over." The driver reacted promptly and pulled into the parking lot of a small diner. As if the limo didn't confuse the locals enough, they were completely taken aback when the red-haired, pierced, tattooed teenager got out of the back before his driver reached the door and started walking away.
Zane ignored the driver's arguments and held up a cell phone to assure him that he was only a phone call away. It wasn't enough to stop the arguments so the driver jumped back in the limo and called up Zane's agent.
Walking down the side of the road, Zane managed to elude his driver when the agent demanded to get the rock star back by any means. He wandered around, entering a much more suburban area. He still stuck out like a sore thumb. A city slicker in a small town. Clearly not worried about any threat, why would he be with his power, Zane continued to walk for a fair amount of time before finally finding what he was looking for.
Zane stopped. He turned his gaze to the cast iron front gate, stone walls, and long driveway leading to a mansion of the boarding school in the distance. The plaque next to the gate read "Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters". He didn't know what to think for a moment but...well? Whatever...
He walked over to the gate...scaled it with ease as, considering the mutant/human chaos, it was locked...walked silently down the driveway...straight up to the front door...and knocked on the fine wood door.

Vinny flicked her wet hair over her shoulder, pulling it up and into a messy bun. It would dry funny, but she didn't really care. She had to walk through the whole mansion to get back to her room, and she wasn't going the whole way with her wet hair dripping down her neck. A quick glance around the changing room showed she had all of her belongings stuffed in her bag, so she exited the room, heading towards the elevator that would take her up to the regular levels of the school.
The elevator brought her to the ground level without event. Shrugging her bag higher onto her shoulder, Vinny exited the thing, waving to a few passing students. Living in such close quarters with several dozen teenagers had taught Vinny the neccesity of being friendly. If you didn't smile and wave when you passed someone, you would likely have no where to sit when you ate your meals, and if you really gave off the unfriendly vibe, no food to eat at all. Luckily, Vinny was pretty laid-back and nice naturally, so she had always had someone saving her a place at the meal tables.
Turning the corner, Vinny made her way towards the staircase next to the school's large front doors. She reached the base of the stairs, placed one foot on the bottom step and then paused. Someone was knocking on the door. That was odd, usually the only people entering the school were the proffessors or the students, and they never knocked. Vinny faultered for a second, then decided she better answer the door. She didn't want someone to stand on the stoop, especially if it was a mutant in search of refuge.
Vinny slid her bag off of her shoulder, letting it land with a thump at the base of the stairs. She pulled the sleeves of her long-sleeved shirt up to her elbows and slowly made her way to the front doors. She was only wearing a pair of old ripped jeans and a comfy blue top, and her hair was a mess, but hopefully she wouldn't scare away whoever was on the other side of the door.
Taking a deep breathe, Vinny reached forward and pulled the doors wide. She wasn't expecting to feel the wave of uncertainty and worry that flew her way. She took an involuntary step back, and shook herself. She didn't usually feel people's emotions, unless they were feeling them very strongly. When her eyes adjusted to the light of the sun outside, she took in the boy before her.
Red-dyed hair, piercings and a glum expression met Vinny's eyes, and she instantly recognized him from the trashy television she had been watching earlier. He was that rockstar, Zane something. They had been talking about his sister's hospitalization on the TV, so maybe that explained his strong emotions.
"Er, sorry. I didn't mean to be impolite, I was just surprised. My name's Vinny, and how can I help you?" She asked, a lazy smile tugging at her lips.

Zane cleared his throat a bit. He didn't say anything at first. He did start to question the decision but it was blatantly obvious other people knew he was a mutant so why not tell the good guys? He looked Vinny over a bit, not expecting someone so...normal-looking to greet him. Perhaps it was just a bad judge of character. News articles always spoke about how mutants just blend in with the crowds but most photos were of some inhuman beast.
She seemed trustworthy. He was glad to see someone his own age at least. Hearing that it was a school, Zane half-expected to end up sharing a mansion with elementary kids if he decided to stay. Her heartbeat was relaxed, something to a slowing motion. This indicated to him that she was just exercising or something to that degree. Zane had used his power dozens, if not hundreds, of times of his own accord. Just by listening to the silence between them, he was subconsciously using them. He noticed that mutant brains had a different activity than regular humans.
He suddenly spoke up, not exactly answering her question. "You use your brain a lot, don't you...?" Kind of an awkward thing to say. Whether Zane was referencing Vinny's power was a bit unclear. This also made the first impression of whatever the rock star's power was just as uncertain.
He adjusted his impenetrably dark sunglasses a bit, pushing them up the bridge of his nose before finally ending the awkward greeting. He pulled them off, revealing that his eyes were blank with blindness. "As for help? I hope so..." Zane found it somewhat strange, yet refreshing that Vinny wasn't reacting the way most people did to his presence. "I'm looking for Charles Xavier. I am...looking for a place to rest..."
The neutral greeting was interrupted by some younger students, no older than 14 or 15 as they passed through the hall to their next class and clearly recognized Zane for who he was. At first, it was awe but it quickly turned into fangirl squeals. He quickly restored the sunglasses over his eyes and sighed, turning in place a bit as if contemplating just walking away. "Is he even here right now...?"

"You use your brain a lot, don't you...?"
Vinny raised an eyebrow at the boy's odd greeting. "Erm...every second of my life, as I recall." She replied, eye's taking in his relaxed form. He had no obvious mutations, so maybe he had something to do with the brain. Was he reading her brain activity then? Should she be flattered? Maybe it was a reflection of her own mutations...
The boy removed his sunglasses, revealing his glossy eyes. Clearly, they were not of much use to the boy, so she had to wonder how he got around. He had no cane or dog to assist him, so again she had to assume his mutation filled in for his lack of sight. She had seen some pretty strange mutations before, and so the boy's lack of sight wasn't too surprising.
"As for help? I hope so..." Vinny leaned forward against the door frame, listening intently. "I'm looking for Charles Xavier. I am...looking for a place to rest..."
Before Vinny could answer, a few younger students came bustling through the entrance room, squaking and giggling as they recognized the rackstar. Rolling he reyes, Vinny stepped over to them.
"Is he even here right now...?" Zane asked.
"Back off, guys, or I'll scare you so bad, you pee yourselves!" Vinny told the students, making swishing motions with her hands. The students giggled some more, then ran off, no doubt to tell their friends. She would never actually use her powers on other students, and they knew it, but they listened to her anyways.
"Sorry 'bout that. Of course the Professor is here, he always is. Come on in, Zane, right?" Vinny asked politely, stepping away from the door and motioning wide for him to step into the mansion. She knew he couldn;t see what she was doing, but she got the feeling he would know. Maybe he was phsycic, like that one student who had no eyes at all, but could see just the same.
Vinny walked over the the elevator, and pressed the call button, turning to smile at the new arrival.

Though it didn't show, Zane was appreciative of Vinny's defense. Usually he had to pay people to offer that much security. Granted, her threat was a bit scary. He couldn't imagine what powers she had with the static brain power he could hear humming away. He fell quiet again as the teenagers scampered off and Vinny invited him in.
He glanced over at her upon hearing his name. He wasn't used to strangers just saying it in a normal tone. It was usually a shout from behind a barricade. "Yea...Zane Cooper." Another thing he wasn't quite used to was having to introduce himself. Yet...it really was a nice change.
Zane couldn't help but look around the inside of the mansion upon entering. Even this small section at the front door was phenomenal. He'd stayed in hotels that didn't have this type of architectural class. Pretty ritzy for a 'just a school'.
Eventually he noticed that Vinny had gone over to an elevator, it seemed to just blend into the wall. Zane, judging the interior as a more rustic, traditional building, didn't expect to see anything quite so advanced. Boy, would he be surprised what was hiding beneath the ground level. He walked over to her side and caught her warm smile. As much as it was expected of someone seeking help to return something as simple as smile to their rescuer, Zane didn't respond much more than a quick half-smile that lasted all of a second or two. He was finding it pretty hard to find good in the situation...
The elevator chimed, announcing its arrival and Zane looked forward again. He honestly didn't know what to say when he met this Charles Xavier. All he could go off of was what was in the news and the tidbits of information he heard from random conversations from people he didn't even know up to two miles away.
He waited until Vinny had walked into the elevator, almost as if checking if it was safe, before following her in. The awkward from the silence had come back. His gaze, hidden behind the dark glasses, dropped every once in a while as he listened to the gears and creaks of the elevator. He could tell by the echoes in the elevator shaft that it went down quite a bit. Just what was below this school?!

Vinny sighed quietly as the elevator descended. She could sense the boy next to her's uncertainty, and she wasn't even using her powers. Eyeing him out of the corner of her eye, she had to wonder what he was like. He seemed rather depressed, but she could be mistaking that for a I'm-too-cool-to-talk-to-you kind of attitude. He was a rock star after all, weren't they all egotistical jerks? With another sigh, she resolved to herself not to make that judgement until she actually had a real conversation with the guy.
The elevator pinged to a stop, the doors sliding open silently and gracefully. Ellie stepped forward, leading the way and motioning with her hands for Zane to follow. He didn't seem like the talkative type, so she decided not to push any lame small talk. She would save that for when she knew why this guy was here. He must have been a mutant for no one to have raised an alarm upon his arrival. Other mutants in the mansion could tell that kind of thing.
The hallways were long and winding, and if one wasn't used to walking them, they were a terrible labyrinth. Vinny lead the way, glancing back every now and then to make sure the boy was still following her. When they were nearly to Proffessor Xavier's office, Vinny hesitated mid-step.
'Vinny, who have you brought to me?' The proffessor's calm voice washed over Vinny's mind, and she grimaced slightly.
'You know I hate it when you do this.' Vinny replied in her mind, 'You could walk in on some very unpleasant thoughts. And this is Zane...er...Cooper! He's asked to see you. I didn't know there were rock star mutants'
'Lovely, Vinny.' Vinny smirked, 'Mutants can do anything, why shouldn't they be rock stars, hm? I'll be waiting for you two, just send him in.'
Vinny nodded, not caring that the Proffessor wouldn't be able to see it. They reached the large doors that were the entrance to his office, and Vinny turned to Zane.
"Well, this is it. You can go on in yourself, he's waiting for you. I'll be waiting here to show you the way out when you're done, this place is crazy tricky to get a hold of, direction-wise. Anyways, good luck with whatever you need him for." Vinny smiled, motioning towards the polished door handles.

((Do you want me to be Xavier for this scene?))
It was a bit strange for Zane not to speak. He usually had no problem whatsoever saying what was on his mind. However, in a mansion of mutants, that last thing he wanted to do was make someone angry. He was shocked when they arrived down below ground. What exactly were all these winding chrome halls for?
Zane nearly walked into Vinny came to stop to a voice he couldn't hear. He could, on the other hand, hear a wave of static from a very strong mind on the other side of the door that she'd stopped near. Shaking his head a bit, he closed his eyes tight for a second or two to focus. Static was the only way he could describe hearing neurons zapping energy between the cells.
When she spoke up about going inside to meet the infamous Professor Charles Xavier, Zane snapped his eyes open and turned to her. "What?" He looked forward to the doors at the prospect of going in alone but he couldn't believe all the rebellion talk the news spoke about. "Oh. Ok...thanks. Vinny? I'll, uh, see you soon."
Clearing his throat a bit, Zane stepped forward and opened the door quietly as if trying not to disturb whatever was on the other side. However, the room was just as refined as the upper floors. He suspected Xavier had a taste for the simple, finer things in life. He looked around a bit before locking eye contact with a very powerful set of eyes. He could tell...
Smooth head and eyes that looked like they knew everything, Zane was actually meeting the infamous telepath face to face. "Mr. Xavier...?" Finally pushing his courage forward, he walked all the way inside and closed the door behind him almost as silently as he'd opened it.
He could already tell he hadn't worked out what he was going to say. The dark metal rock star and the pristinely refined professor of a school that helped mutants of all ages find solace. "...I don't know why I'm here yet..."
