.. dreams of a brand spankin' new piece of hardware for Sega. I, for one am a bit confused as to how legit this really is, even though I've scanned it on both GamesRadar and CVG - sites which I hold some respect toward.

I love my Dreamcast, but there really isn't a need for another one. All of its games can exist on the other consoles.

It's legit, but that doesn't mean anything will come of it.

I hope it doesn't happen. So many consoles to choose from... or buy.
Though I probably won't buy sega's consoles, I hardly enjoy any of their games any more besides Sonic. And even Sonic is getting to be a little "meh" lately. But sometimes he can be great, and I don't want to buy another console just for Sonic.

Look at the CVG article. You can tell he's indulging in wishful thinking.

Allegro Look at the CVG article. You can tell he's indulging in wishful thinking. Even if he was serious, wouldn't be too difficult for Sega to allocate funds for a new system, anyway?.

I agree with Jazzy. The Dreamcast is a cool console and all, but another is not needed right now. 4 consoles in one go is too much. I only really get 2 consoles per generation. If the Dreamcast 2 came out I'd have to get the new Nintendo console, the new Xbox, AND the Dreamcast 2. Less consoles is better than more.

Sega doesn't really have the money to go into being a console and software developer, and publish on top of that.

It seems unlikely that Sega would release another console these days, be it handheld or otherwise

Raui It seems unlikely that Sega would release another console these days, be it handheld or otherwise Let's hope for now they can continue on the right path with Sonic 4 and Colors.
