on halo reach at the very begining of the level called winter something on legendary there is a camo elite down by the distress signal that walks fast and is hard to see. If you manage to kill him before he gets around the corner and disapears he drops a data pad that you can read through.

Also at the mission "The Package" before entering Halsey's lab there is a secret button that by pressing it you open a secret door that lets you go inside the lab and read lots of data pads and stuff like that, but maybe you knew that already, if not check youtube
