So right now I'm in a meeting (online) for the Otakon Publications team.
Don't know what Otakon is? Infooo
Anybody else here like conventions and stuffs? =p

i've gone to anime conventions in my state for 4 years in a row. the last one i actually got into and did activities they set up.... so i really don't know too much except that they are awesome and that i can't wait to go to my 5th one in the April! (i heart shopping... the only time i'll shop like a girl).

Last year Ginhi was on the design team (correct me if I'm wrong) and at the actual convention she herded crazed mobs of fangirls around and prevented them from trampling voice actors who were giving out signatures. At least that's what I remember.

Since I might not be headed for Japan, I might be heading for Otakon this year with my friends and honey. I can't wait to see you there! I'm also hitting up anime next too. We've already started our costumes for Otakon since when you go there you have to dress up either really funny or be the best of the best!

Hells yes! mrgreen I live close to where Otakon is, so I want to go this year. (I couldn't go last year due to financial issues) My cosplay is all ready, and I am helping my sister get hers together, and we are so going! whee

Apparently in the area there was a rash of violent kidnappings of foreigners, also the tension between north and south Korea, it stinks crying I told them it'd be a learning experience and they still told me no.

There's lots of departments, buuut I worked for the Design team (like everything that's designed ever) and Autographs, which is similar to what Goldie said. We kept people from killing others while waiting in line to get signatures from famous people.

And while I agree that being kidnapped WOULD, in fact, be a learning experience, I don't think it's one that I would like to experience personally.

He'd have to go through the Panama Canal, but I figure that's what they made the thing for. But you know, I'm sure that enough members of the guild could pitch in to get him a flight. If 18 people all helped, we'd only have to contribute about $100 each. A small price to pay for our illustrious leader to see all of our bright, happy faces.

I would do it, we'd all meet up in the Gaia panel, though it'd still be kinda funny since we'd all be in costume and makeup while meeting for the first time sweatdrop
