Hmm I'm wondering if we could have a fame system. Incorporate it into Mission, Social Relations, Events. A person becomes famous by the amount of deeds they have commited or infamous. You know along those lines.

What is Fame and Infamy?

Fame is a measurement of how well-known and renowned your shinobi is. The value of fame is low; it is used mainly to determine IC, if your character should know of another or not. Fame affects the Infamy system.

Infamy is for 'evil' shinobi; it is a measurement of your criminal level. The more crimes you commit, the higher your infamy will be. Alongside your fame, it will determine the priority of hunting your shinobi, with high levels being high priority.

What general amounts are there for Fame / Infamy?

There are several ways to gain Fame, listed below. Fame may also regress over time.

  • Completing missions; Amount depends on the mission itself.
  • Acquiring New Rank
  • Saving / Affecting another's life.
  • Anything criminal.
  • Participating in wars / fights.
  • Doing something special.
  • Imagination's the limit.

Infamy is more clear-cut than fame. Infamy's highest value is 150. Doing good deeds will lower it. The amounts may fluctuate based on situation.

  • Leaving Village: +3 Infamy if caught
  • Theft / Minor Destruction: +8 Infamy
  • Major Destruction: +25 Infamy
  • Killing shinobi: +15/10/5 [Each Rank}
  • Kage Coup: +100 Infamy

What Does Fame / Infamy Do?

  • 0 Fame: This person is a nobody. Only someone they met personally would know them.
  • 200 Fame: This person is little known of in their village. Some local people may have hard of you.
  • 400 Fame: This person is slightly known about in their village. At this point, you may get an alias you wish to be known by.
  • 700 Fame: This person is somewhat in their village. People from the village might be talking about you a little.
  • 1000 Fame: This person is rather well-known in their village. Others from the same village may recognize you, and they likely heard of your deeds, if any.
  • 1600 Fame: This person is well-known in their village. Most people from your village know your name and what you look like. There might be gossip going around about you.
  • 2000 Fame: This person is famous in their village, and somewhat known of in other shinobi villages. There is most likely not a single person in the village who hadn't heard of you or doesn't know what you look like. People in other shinobi villages have heard of you, but they don't know any serious details.
  • 3000 Fame: This person is known in several shinobi villages. People from the other villages likely heard of you and your accomplishments, and they probably know what you look like, or at least some distinctive features.
  • 4000 Fame: This person is well-known in most shinobi. People from other villages most likely know who you are, what your name is and what you look like. Other people might have heard of you.
  • 7000 Fame: This person is known throughout the world. A fair amount of people would know who you are when they see you.
  • 10000 Fame: This person is famous throughout the world. Almost all people would know who you are when they see you.

So what do you guys think?
