I am 100% addicted. This is my 5th night staying up all night watching all the episodes. I saw the series as a kid but never got past the Dark Tournament. I wanted to see the fight between Teguro and Yusuke so badly.
If you're a fan of action, comedy, blood, and explosions, YuYu Hakusho is for you. (Naturally you should also expect it to have a smashing storyline, great casts of characters, Kurama, awesome action scenes that don't take 40 episodes ((Dragon Ball Z....)), and Puu, then you should definitely watch it.)
Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei and Kuwabara are awesome characters. Probably my favorite main characters. Botan is also awesome. And there's something to be said for Kayko, too <3 And, Puu (Poo?) is absolutely adorable. One episode even made me cry involving Puu and Yusuke.
**BONUS!**
Alright, here's a question for you guildies, to see how well you know your members!
Who in this guild has a username inspired YuYu Hakusho? And for bonus points, can you tell me the origin on the name, and who the character or place in question is? biggrin Naturally, the person with the name shouldn't answer. Unless they really want to. xd

Ok, without looking back, I'm about 80% sure it's TJ. When I was combing through the archives back in the day, I found a thread talking about user name origins. I think that TJ said that her last name, Jaganshi, was taken from one of the characters. Now, to check...
Yup! Jaganshi Hiei. I'm awesome~
As a side note, I've never seen the show, but it's yet another in the growing pile of shows I want to eventually watch.

Excellent series. It's actually been like...9 years since the first time I watched it (on adult swim). Buuuut, it is an excellent series. Manga is great too, and doesn't end too differently from the anime. Laharl, I don't know if you're watching it in Eng, but if you are you MUST watch it in Japanese. The Eng dub wasn't too bad, buuuut the Japanese makes it look like poop. <3 Japanese OP!Anyway, I've been a Kuwabara/Hiei fan. But again, excellent series. I'm an avid anime fan, and this is a must watch.

I'm an avid anime fan, and this is a must watch. You must have watched the edited version. The English voice acting in the unedited is top notch: Easily the best I've heard in an anime. And I love the English OP song. <3 Plus, I don't speak japanese, so I couldn't tell you if it was good or not, since I'd be too focused on reading the subtitles to listen DX
OMG I must go to your house to see this shower curtain TJ! biggrin So I'm now on the Teguro Matches in the Dark Tournament. Spoiler in white: Genkai's death was so sad! It made me cry, even if I was expecting it the whole time...I hate Teguro :/ Genkai actually taught ME something, too xd : So TJ, what is the "great music" you mention besides every song in the anime? Is it like Azumanga Daioh where every character gets their own song or something?

There's only one Eng Dub, so it'd be the same either way. From what I've seen in the Eng (up to end of Dark Tournament) the story is not as close to the manga. I just find that watching almost anything in its original language is >another version in a different language.

every character gets their own song, this one is Kurama singing Kori no naifu wo Daite
This is Hiei heart I hear a whistle
I have so many of them singing, yet I can't find my favorite that Hiei sings, it's called "you make me smile" it's an old song from when the series first came out but all I find are stupid English songs.
and that's not fair.......my room is covered in both Sonic and Hiei....and also too they're both on my key chain....Sonic is my house key and Hiei is my bedroom key.....I can't decide!!! *explodes*

Sorry I know no double posting but this has to be addressed sweatdrop If you watched it on Cartoon network they tore the story apart like crazy! Watch the unedited version and you;ll see the REAL dark tournament, they took out several important scenes and I think an episode since it was too graphic and referenced drugs and selling people on the black market, and just flat out murder, and it makes more sense why shizuru freaked out when Sakyo died. I just felt my glasses get thicker sweatdrop

I'm assuming then the Jap dub is the same as the unedited English dub, story wise then. And the Japanese, for the most part, closely follows the manga.

Yeppers! Unlike his wife, the creator actually over saw the making and dubbing of the series, can you guess who that was? he married the creator of Sailor moon whee

So then, it's a preference over the voices more or less, and as we all know, I choose you, Japanese!
But that's pretty cools that they got married. Which reminds me I still need to finish watching Sailor Moon >_> I'm only on the second season.

I can't remember what season of Sailor Moon I was on, but I think it was also the second season. Or close to the end of the first. It was kinda hard to find the subs on YouTube, which was my only real source for it at the time.

Nyuu I usually prefer the English even thought I know JP. here's why, Every voice actor/actress in Japanese sounds like exactly the same 7 people over and over and over again sweatdrop
