I agree. They play the same songs too much. There needs to be more variety.

I would rather hear the same song more often then listen to half an hour of commercials! so for me i really could care less since i like music but HATE commercials!

This is the reason I don't carry around those little portable FM radios anymore. I overhear at least 30 songs a day, while my playlist has about 1350 songs on it. And it shuffles and has a wide variety of songs I actually want to listen to. O:

Yeah, there are times when I find the commercials annoying. Plus the repeated songs nearly every half hour or so. I stick with a radio station that doesn't have annoying commercials, which I can easily listen to without getting annoyed. There are other times when I'll just listen to music using other methods like YouTube or my little iPod Shuffle. Like some of you already said, and I agree, there needs to be more variety than throwing in the same songs on the playlist repeatedly.

Remember that song "Viva la Vida?" My friends and I used to love that song. Then the radio started playing it...
Over and over and over and over again...
It was on every radio station, played at least twice every hour. So now we're sick of it.
Damn you, radio. *shakes fist at* emotion_donotwant

Fact: Some record companies pay radio and TV stations to play songs
