"Fortune favors the Bold; or the clinically insane, whatever works best." *Savage Grin* The Gun, The Short Sword, and The Long Sword My name is...... Mason Marquette Kalis (Marquette is the name of his adopted family) But you can call me... Captain, "Mason the Maverick", or Mas, for those who earn the right. I am obviously a... Male And I was born 20 years ago. I am... Captain of the Black Barge This is who I am Well, depending on when you catch me and what I'm doing I've a lot of different moods; my adopted mother and father raised to be a gentleman towards the opposite gender so even as a pirate I tend to be quite polite towards women as a whole (I won't grope them, not even when I'm drunk. Actually when I'm drunk I just tend to sleep a lot more). However, let's not even try to say I'm non-violent; while being raised to know that women are far too often more clever then men, I've also learned not to treat them like china dolls, so if you try to rough me up I'll scrap you right back, no matter how delicate looking you are. Generally I'm pretty confident and easy to get along with amongst my crew; it's probably the reason nobody's tried to kill me yet. My instincts are more then usually right so I try not to question them too much, but I also knpow how to take responsibility for my actions and will do so fully if anything I do puts my crew at risk for something that was not originally planned out. I've always had an adventuring spirit, so don't be suprised if I suddenly veer off course to "check something out"; this usually only happens if something particularly intrests me, like a new planet I've not yet visited or seen, and at times I'll throw all caution to the wind if my gut tells me to go down and take a look around. I'll confess that's not one of my better qualities, but like it or not it's gonna happen, so no use in complaining about it. Did I mention I'll do that too, from time to time? Usually only if I'm bored, though.
Now I'm sure by now you're questioning my skills as a sky pirate, since I probably seem like such a "nice guy", but let me tell you right now, I'm only nice when it suits me. If you're in the way of something I need to further my mission I really won't heasitate to strike you down, and I've been told by numerous members of my crew that I tend to be particularly bloodthirsty when I get into heated, competitive and serious fights. I try to be as kind to my crew as possible, but I know that sometimes you have to throw down the gauntlet and as such I can be just as effective through discipline as I can through niceties. It all just depends on how I want to be percieved, I suppose. Hitting rewind...Alright, so since I'm really not in the mood to talk a lot about my life, I'll just keep it nice and simple, yeah? You probably heard all about my birth from any pirate or old man who still remembers, and yes, it's all true; I was adopted by a nice pair of individuals when I was about, oh....seven, maybe? See for as long as I can remember I'd always been one of those unsavory toddler you don't want to run into, stealing crap, biting the hands that fed me. I didn't have to do that with the Marquettes; they understood that I wasn't used to a warm and loving family. When I decided I wanted to leave home for a while, they'd let me. When I got in major trouble with the law, they'd shake their heads but they wouldn't lecture me. I really grew to respect them for that; my "mom" taught me how to find comfort in being who I was, and my "dad" showed me how to be a man, on man's terms. But even though I loved them both all of us knew I wasn't really meant to be domesticated, you know? So when I turned about fifteen my dad showed me the coin that changed my life. He told me who I was, what was waiting for me. He took me sky sailing; I fell in love with the concept of free reign, of being able to do whatever I wanted with nobody to stop me. He told me my father was like that too. And since I'd never been able to meet him, I figured I'd take up his mantel as a last hurrah. It wasn't suposed to be anything permanent, but the Black Barge...
The Black barge changed my life. 'Course I couldn't get to it right away since it was being guarded by the authorites, but my old man....god, he saved my bacon in so many ways. He drafted the plans, looked the other way, and the last time I saw my parents was at the age of eighteen, waving goodbye and wishing me luck. It's not goodbye forever though; once I found my birthright I determined, I'd give them so much of it they wouldn't ever need anything ever again. I sailed on my own for a few years, and even without a crew I built up quite a reputation for myself as the new face of terrorism in sky piracy; I dropped to quite a couple planets, looted, raided, even picked up a wild ferret who I tamed and made my pet. But yeah, I'll admit a crew makes things easier; I've amassed quite a collection of folks who are all set in some way or another on helping me find my inheritance. And I swear to god I will. Even if I have to burn down evrything and everyone that gets in my way. I really enjoy... Practing both swordsmanship and marksmanship, chess, detouring to other planets and hanging out with his crew. Love it! Adventure, cash, treasure, drinking (he's not legal, but since when has that mattered to pirates), wide, open areas, a good book, gambling, strength, dedication, intelligent conversation, his crew (usually), sleeping, and visiting new planets. Eew, Nasty! Weakness, incompetancy, traitors, the law, being told what to do, being questioned, accordian music and playing the hero. Turn it up! Rock Show // Blink 182 The Launch Beth // GLEE Cover Sssh, don't tell! That I won't ever get to my birthright, or that I'll let my crew down as captain. Of course, this is just gonna stay between us, yeah? *Points swordtip at throat* I'm not gonna admit it.. ...What? Am I forgetting something...? Since I can't have any conflict or distracting disputes on my ship, I use the coin I got from my old man to settle things like that. What else...oh, right; I've got a pet ferret by the name of Jazz; he's particularly vicious to those he doesn't trust, and can be used for all sorts of things. Careful. If I don't like you, I just may kill you. "You think you've got time to talk!? BACK TO WORK!" My name is...... Benevolence Irene Penn But you can call me... Ma'am, to most, or Lady Penn. Ben, otherwise, if we're friends. I am obviously a... woman! And I was born 22 years ago. I am... the First Mate. I am undyingly Loyal to my captain This is who I am tough, in a word. I have to be, to hold the position I'm in, especially as a woman. I work hard to make sure the ship stays running in tip top shape, and that our captain is happy at all times. I am determined, and hardly ever back down from a challenge. I am not above stepping in to lend a hand wherever it is needed on the ship, and I can only hope that this has earned me respect from the crew. I trusted just about all of them. Especially our captain. And underneath my hard exterior, I am still a kind, understanding woman. I am undyingly loyal to the captain, and will do whatever he may ask of me, whenever he orders. I will always protect him with my life, and I will not stop until I see him inherit what is his birthright! Hitting rewind...My father was a pirate, actually. I was born on his ship, you see, so this life is really all I've ever known. He was the master gunner aboard the Nova Rider, and taught just about everything he knew. The crew was friendly towards me, since everyone seemed to like my father. I became I full fledged member of the crew at thriteen. No one ever told me what happened to my mother, and I never asked. There were no women aboard the ship that I remember, so I always assumed she died in labor.
One day, when I had just turned seventeen, I met him. We had docked for the time being, restocking our supplies. He was there. By this time, I was a strong young woman, and I suppose he took interest in me because of that. He introduced himself, and said he had a proposition for me. He wanted me to come aboard his ship, the Black Barge, and sail with him to find his treasure, the one his parents had left him. At first, I was taken aback. I had never been offered something such as this. I spoke with my father about it, and he wished me luck.
From that day on, I became a part of the Black Barge's crew, and was soon First Mate. I sail now, with the rest of the crew, in order to search for Gayle, the planet that is our destination. I really enjoy... working on the ship, helping out the crew, polishing my sword Love it! Fighting, sweets, sailing, being a pirate Eew, Nasty! Mushrooms, failure, disappointing the captain Turn it up! Miss Independent - Kelly Clarkson Sssh, don't tell! If you speak a word of this ti anyone, I will personally see to your death! ... I've always feared falling overboard... I'm not gonna admit it.. I suppose you could say our Captain, but then again, who doesn't love him? Am I forgetting something...? My weapon of choice is a large gun, along with a saber that hangs at my waist. I'm trained to use both, just so you know. My lord, god and master is Reku1495

"Hey, mind getting me another bottle while your up?" "Hey, wanna cookie? Me too! Go find me one!" Work Clothes (When not on ship) Weapons Collection My name is...... Garland Zerom Cecil But you can call me... Gar, Cecil, most just call me "Cyclops", or Cy I am obviously a... Male And I was born 25 years ago. I am... The Master Swordsman I am Very Loyal to my captain This is who I am I like having a good time, plain and simple. Whether it be a party, a fight, or a heist, I'm all about fun! That being said, I can also be very serious, especially when it comes to Mas in trouble. He takes a hit, I throw punches, he throws punches, bodies hit the floor. Simple. Speaking of our captain, he's probably the only person on the ship that can hold a candle to me when it comes to drinking. It's not surprising to see the two of us in a bar together, flirting with women, or getting into fights, usually the former. Unlike him, however, I enjoy their company a bit more... It's not uncommon to find me with several in my bed in the morning. Of course, I'm always ready for the next big event, no matter what happens! And one last thing: Don't get into a fight with me. PERIOD. I can slice you up drunk or sober, MUCH worse when I'm drunk. But hey, it's your funeral... Hitting rewind...My sister Rose and I were taken in by the captain of The Raptor, a pirate ship whose crew was based on Necropolind. The old man raised us, my sister being 9 at the time, placing me at 4. He taught us quite a bit, that old man, from how to read a map, to how to steer a ship, to sword-fighting. Rose and I caught on quick, and we were considered valuable members at the ages of 15 and 10 respectively. Then, one day, while we were fighting a rival crew, our captain was killed. We managed to push back the enemy, but nothing could replace what we had lost. My sister became captain at the age of 15, taking the crew of a 5-year long journey through the known galaxy. In that time, she learned much from her fights, and I learned much from her. At the end of the 5 years, I decided to leave the nest, apprenticing under a mercenary by the name of "Lone Wolf". I traveled with Wolf for a few years before learning all I could from him, then I became a mercenary myself, operating under the name of "The Colossus". When I was 19, I was famous for getting the job done, and was hired to take out a captain that was supposedly invincible. Naturally, being as Macho as I am, I took on the job and made it on board, picking a fight with the captain, only to realize the target was my own blood, Rose! We fought man-to-woman, one-on-one, a good old-fashioned duel, and surprisingly, I didn't die! She walked away with a few facial scars, and I walked away with one eye... And that got my name changed to "The Cyclops"! Nevertheless, people heard that I'd fought the "Invincible Rose" and lived, and my fame shot through the roof! And one fateful day, at the age of 20, I was drinking in a bar when I met a plucky kid named Mason. He was drunk, and so was I, and he challenged me to some kind of contest. I can't remember what it was, but I do remember the two of us getting into our first of many barfights together soon after! After that, I joined. Simple. I really enjoy... Fighting, Partying, Drinking, Flirting and just having a good time in general! Love it! Women Alcohol, Sleeping In, A good fight Eew, Nasty!Work, Staying still, My sister Turn it up! N/A Sssh, don't tell! My big sister is the one person who could probably fight my one on one and win. That's pretty scary to me... I'm not gonna admit it.. Crush? I don't DO relationships... Am I forgetting something...? I'm one of the TWO best swords in the known galaxy. Guess who the second is... My lord, god and master is The Original Jitterbug

"You should really be more careful~!" "Or I'll wedge a bullet in your head." "Heya!" "Tch." My favorite outfit! Shirt is sleeveless, though. My black and white coat suits me just fine. Our names are...... Marina and Maron CalCutta But you can call us... Rina and Aaron; together we're also known as the CalCutta Killers. We are obviously a... Male and female, respectively. And we were born 18 (for both) years ago. We are... Master gunman. And master gunwoman~! We are Somewhat.. Loyal to our captain This is who we are... Oh, ooh, I can do this part~! Alright, let's see; well for as similar looking as my brother and I are, our personalities are actually exact opposites switched around. By this I mean that while I'm generally the one who puts on a happy face and a smile, Maron is the one you'll find sulking in the background, hating life and everyone he comes into contact with. A lot of people find me the more approachable of the two, while many assume Maron is psycho from the slightly deranged smiles he gives in the sucessful attempts he gives to frighten people off. However, when in battle the positions change; Maron tells me I get really scary, with this murderous, masochistic look on my face. So I guess when in the heat of things, I get really nasty. But when Maron fights it's almost serene, like he couldn't care less but oh, since you're here he'll kill you off. One thing that we both share is the tendancy to do everything together; we sleep on the same part of the ship, we're always somewhat dressed to match, and when we battle, we go in together. This means our processes of thought are a lot alike as well, and therefore affects our loyalities; I hate to say it, but since we grew up without really trusting many people we've never thought of anyone as family but each other, and we'll only be around for as long as it benefits us. Hitting rewind...Alright, since I, the respectable male, got suckered into doing most of this, here goes. You listening? Better be. In case for some reason you can't tell my sister and I are twins; we were born in the french countryside to a mother who died in labor, and since our father always thought the fault lay with us he'd abuse us on a regular basis, both physically and mentally. We were never allowed to have any friend over, or to go out and play with the other kids. Hell, we weren't even allowed to have any hobbies. Sounding like a s**t life yet? 'Cause it was. But we held on reagardless; all we had were each other, so needless to say we developed a pretty damn close bond over the years. But our life did change, eventually; for the better I'd like to think. See, our old man was a politician, and a pretty corrupt one at that. Corrupt enough to do dealings with sky pirates? s**t yeah. Corrupt enough to be murdered by the very same pirates he'd made deals with. Most defiantely. And they would have killed us too, if those pirates hadn't been stupid enough to not know which one of us was which; see, we were always similar looking, of course, since we're twins. We used this for leverage, and at the age of seven we became full fledged members of the Briar Lilly.
But of course, my sister and I didn't just want to be shoved to the back; we'd been dealing with that our whole life. So when we turned twelve we asked the crew to train us in combat; neither us took to anything else but the guns, and so needless to say it didn't take all that long before we were the ship's best damn gunners they'd ever had. After our first major bloodmatch the crew named us "the CalCutta Killers", and it stuck long after, even when we decided to abandon the ship for the one we're on now. See, we were stopping to stock for supplies I think, when he, that Mason, approached us. Asked what a couple of twins were doing on a pirate ship; we told him. So he told us the reasons for why he was sky sailing, and needless to say my sister fell in love with the idea. That was where we parted ways with the crew of our formor ship, and joined the Black Barge. Been there ever since; actually, it's added to the ship's reputation, since we're already pretty well known. We really enjoy... Everything we do, we do together, so...reading, target practice and stargazing from the front of the ship or the riggings. Love it! Marina: My brother, hearing pirate stories, a good book, shiny objects and jewelry, chocolate milk, sweet foods and the beautiful sky. Maron: My sister, being left alone for the most part, the skyscape, a good fight, new weaponry, intelligent people, spicy foods. Eew, Nasty! Marina: My father, sexists, being underestimated because I'm a girl, loud and obnoxious girls, being seperated from Maron and polka music. Maron: My father, sluts, stupidity, being touched without permission, being away from Marina. Turn it up! Marina: We R who we R // Ke$ha Maron: All Black // Good Charlotte Sssh, don't tell! If you hurt my brother/sister... I'll kill you! Marina: Also, I hate snakes. We're not gonna admit it.. Nobody, for either of us! Are we forgetting something...? Maron's blind in his left eye...he lost it when our dad beat him too hard; but he does a lot to hide that from other people. Yeah, and we've got quite a large amount of guns; Marina deals with the long range ones and I do the short range ones, usually. However, we can use either kind if we have to. We can also both speak french. Our lord, god and master is Whitefiregirl
