Carefully, lovingly, placed in the dark, beneath the shade and needled bark, amongst the stars on a moonless night only to hatch in the suns bright light.

The heat of day came bearing down, searing all the air around, burning through all things it touched, through shady leaves and underbrush.

Touching flesh too soft and new to stand such bright and searing hues, bleaching pale like white fish bones, and scorching marks in sun colored tones. A scream wrung from fresh agony, that bled and twisted noisily, into a song so high and bright, it made all else feel cool as night.

Singing all the suns great praise, loving it despite his pain.

He Sings of Sunlight till he weeps, till he dies, an endless sleep. On murkiest nights and through blackest storms.

He Sings of Sunlight evermore.
