So, I've noticed that Japanese music has much higher production values than ANY other music from ANY other country EVER. This being said, I think J-pop is wonderful and I've been listening to it all day and can't stop. WHY?! scream scream

Don't forget about the other genres. There's J-rock, which you might recognize with The Pillows if you've ever watched Fooly Cooly. In that category is also Gackt, Miyavi, An~Cafe, and others I can't list off the top of my head. :'3

So basically, they're awsome.

They also have factories where they churn out popstars like robots to please the fickle public. *insert ninja face here*
I just like how over there, rock groups are not afraid of costuming on stage. especially their modern versions of glam rock with the over the top costumes...see versailles philharmonic quintet for what I mean....whether or not I enjoy their music is beside the point....I give kidos to any man who can pull off some of those outfits
