hehe I finally got a new piercing.
I got my industrial yesterday and I found out two very interesting things while I was there.

I asked the piercer about the bar vs. double CBR (captive bead ring) aaand he said that if you do the double CBR and want a bar later on, it's way hard for it to be aligned correctly. So he basically said it's much easier with the bar.

I also found out it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I had my boyfriend with me though (I was being a pansy and told him he had to hold my hand). He was really supportive though...I cringed once and he was all "That's my little trooper."

But yeah...it didn't hurt all that bad. But oh wow did it hurt a few hours later.

Anyways, it's still a bit sore and I do have one question... How exactly do you do sea salt soaks in that area? sweatdrop

When my boyfriend had his eyebrow done he used a rag and dipped it in the soak...but yeah.

What's a good way?



I just took that about 5 minutes ago...my ear is really red cause it's right after a shower and I accidentally hit it while washing my hair and then again while drying it...oww.

I find it most effective to find a shallow bowl with a big rim and pour your mixture in there. I mix my solution in a large measuring cup, then pour it into the bowl. I think what I have is one of those ziploc bowls with the lid that closes over. It's just deep enough and is comfortable enough to lay on for 10-15 minutes, plus no one is looking for it after, so I can just keep it with my piercing stuff.

I actually just used mine today since my helix is angry from having its jewelry changed. I decided to soak my nipples simulataneously. Now that manuevering to make that work. But yea, that bowl works well, so if you can find something similar, I'd recommend it. Cups tend to be too uncomfortable to lie on, which I used befor I found that bowl.

My piercing care basket amuses me for the random items in it: sea salt, ziploc bowl, measuring spoon, measuring cup, shot glasses. I used to keep my tea tree oil in there too. I wonder what that would look like to non-modified.

lol that'd look quite amusing actually..I don't really have a basket but I should probably do something similar...in fact I'm going to go look for the bowl right now and grab some sea salt 3nodding

well... i have a spray bottle and q-tips rofl the pray bottle being this stuff i bought from the piercer thats supposed to work like sea salt, q-tips to dab up any dripping and plug my ear when i spray biggrin

On another topic, anyone know anything about flexible eyebrow retainers? My boyfriend plays lacrosse and kinda needs to get some soon because the season is about to start.

not me sorry... gah but this reminds me i should really buy myself an eyebrow retainer >.> pretty much for family functions i guess, even if they know i have mye yebrow peirced... i don't like having it in front of people like my grandmother rofl makes me uncomfortable ninja

lol I told my boyfriend to use fishing line (I read that porn stars use it in place of their belly button rings sometimes) but he said he didn't want anything like that near his eye

i'd wrather spend the money and just get the retainer rofl and not hav to explain to everyone why the hell i put fishing line inside my face xd
