He rides alone at light's last fleeting,
Soon to see the darkness greeting,

Between two worlds he whips along,
Deafened by his hoof beats' song,

Warm rays on his left, chilled dark on his right,
Both attempt to draw his sight,

But neither the moon's threat of rains,
Or sun's searing touch of pains,

Can stray him from his taken path,
So both sides lose, filled with wrath,

Forever onward in life is his way,
Between black night and white of day,

For he is never just dark or light,
From in between he draws his might,

Then on he continues with great repose,
His heart in balance wherever he goes.
