__________________________________________________________
Tiberius rode into Atia on a lightly armored war house. He tugged on the reins and pushed his heels gently into the animals side causing it to quicken its pace. Rushing through the entrance he eventually pulled the animal to a halt near the stables and he quickly dismounted the animal, giving the reins to another man to care for the creature. He was here under the kings orders and this town was to be evacuated the citizens and it seemed there was still time to get these souls out of here before the fog settled in. Moving quickly he headed towards the center of town, hoping to catch a majority of the citizens to inform them of the impending danger.
Upon arriving to the square he looked around the area only to find a few people wandering about and some of the local guards. He moved towards the men. "Sound the bells and gather the people here. I am under orders from the king" he spoke in a rushed voice before showing them an official seal and that was all that was required. Various bells rang as they where hit, it was a sign to gather in the square or so he had hoped. Moving about he found an elevated position and watched as the townsfolk gathered before him. Tiberius let out a huff of air and relaxed him self as the last thing he needed was to cause panic and chaos.
Once the crowd was large enough he began to speak. "People of Atia I bring word from the king" he started out by saying as his gaze wandered from person to person. "There is an incoming threat to your village and by his orders you are to be relocated to the capital at once" he said in a stern tone. "You will be compensated for your looses but you must gather your things and leave this place now" his voice was gradually getting louder hoping that he would get the point across to the citizens of Atia. "Proceed in an orderly fashion chaos will spell the end of us" he gave further orders to the people. They where running out of time and had to move quickly and it was obvious enough that the threat was.
Tiberius soon stepped down form him his current location and ordered some of the local guard around. He was merely following the instructions that he was given but it seemed that panic was slowly settling into the hearts of the people. His primary orders where to keep the peace in some manner and they had to be out of here by night. __________________________________________________________

Alia Alia came into town to see everyone gathered at the center of town. Out of curiousity she rode the horse up to the back of the circle, far from view but still able to hear. She watched in silence. Her hood was up to conseal her. She had to hide, even in her own hometown. Bounty hunters had a bad wrap, and she also didn't want to be seen by her family that stood not far off. Her little brother, the newest addition to her family was looking around and drooling. The baby giggled a little when his mother tickled under his chin. Alia swallowed hard but refused to show any emotion. That was the past, no longer something she belonged to.
She had a body with her that she planned to deliver to the authorities. But apparently that would have to wait. The man at the center of the circle told them to leave. The fog was coming. Her eyes turned to slits. These were peasent people. Old men and women, sick and weak. They had children, like her little brother, too young to make a long journey to the capital. There must be a different way. How were they to just pack up and go? She heard the people echo her thought out loud, in grumbles and fear. The fog was something every child was born knowing. You did not survive long when it came. She looked to her departing family, woukd they make it? Alia dismounted and lead the horse To the stables. She planned on staying a little longer. She would help evacuate those who were slow. "here, I need a fresh horse and a cart" she tossed the stable boy a gold coin and left carrying the body with her.
After dropping it off and getting her coin she went after the noble that told them to evacuate. "excuse me sir, a word?" she was hooded and hard to see under the shadow of her hood. "there must be another way milord. These people will not make it to the capital in time. They are very weak from the early winter this year"

Tiberius patted a man on his shoulder and sent him off to another location to aid the townsfolk with what ever they needed. Soon enough a women carrying a bound man approached him and asked for his time. A nod came from him and he stood in front of her wearing full armor with a mace at his side along with a shield bound to a strap held up by his belt. "You may" he said a moment later. As she spoke to him his head moved from side to side. They had no choice but to leave now or none would survive the fog. "That may be the case but even if there is a small chance some will survive it is worth the effort" he said as he shifted his weight from side to side as he looked her in the eyes.
"I am sorry but there is nothing else that can be done for them..." Tiberius voice tailed off and he was never good a lying to others. There was only one hope for those that had to leave Atia but it would require others o risks there lives. He paced around for a moment or two pondering over the idea and it was suicide for them and the others but it would be an honorable death at least. "Although if you insist we can stall for time" he muttered as he looked over at her once again. An unpleased expression sat on his face and he was offering only one thing and that was death.
Tiberius came to a stop and rested his right hand on the mace he carried with him. "If you find those brave enough to fight here then we shall hold this position to let the other escape" he said in a stern tone. It was crazy but there was no other option if she really wished to help those who lived in this town. He turned in his current position and if they lived, the knowledge they had might be useful for the whole of the kingdom. "So what say you" he inquired. __________________________________________________________

Alia Alia frowned. After a moments thought shook her head. "All able bodied men must help their families. Even if they were willing they would only last a minute at most. They are not warriors, they're simple men. Farmers and sheep herders. The fog would reach their families an hour after they were all killed." she clenched her jaw tight, how then? She needed to think, and this was not the place. A sharp whistle pierced the air, and soon a coal horse came trotting up to her. She mounted silently and gave a brief tip of the head to the noble. "many thanks your grace. Please continue to help them as best you can. I will do mine." she turned the horse about and headed the other direction. Alia patted the horse as they left. "I plan on doing just that." she decided wispering to herself. "I don't fear death"

Tiberius listened to her explanation and she was right but the town guard was still here, although they would be given the task to defend them as they traveled to the capital. "Then I will stay here and hold what comes from that fog until my dying breath" he said in a stern voice. Even though a single man might not seem like much he was no ordinary person and not be taken lightly. His eyes moved with the women for the time being as she mounted a coal horse. "Farewell and may lady luck shine on you this day" he said as he watched the women ride off. He was not even given a name but it did not matter to him. There where more important tasks to tend to at this time. Once again he began to order others around but it was with a purpose and a goal in mind.
A few hours had past since his encounter with the women. The sky grew darker with each passing moment, going from blue to a sickly grey. It was a mark of things to come and soon the fog would be upon them, within the hour if he had to guess. Tiberius sat upon his horse and moved up and down the mob of people keep them in order. "Do not push or shove one another" he barked at them as he past several groups. "You will live to see another day" he added a moment later in a stern tone trying to encourage them to keep on living. Little did he know that most of these people would meet there end in this village or outside of it as the fog slowly began to roll into the village.
Tiberius pulled the reins of his horse and it went up on its back legs only to let out a deep breath and nay. "Quicken your pace your lives depend on it" he said looking back over at those that remained. He spoke to some of the towns guard and they would keep them moving from his place while he lead the charge forwards. He knew not what beasts lay in the fog but he hoped to slow there pace. Dismounting form his horse he tapped its rear only to watch it run off, this would be his fight. Looking down he watched as the mist rolled beneath him, now all he could do is wait. There was still some time before the battle would take place but he had to prepare him self. __________________________________________________________

Alia Alia helped the woman up on her horse. "Thank you." the woman said relieved. Alia waved her off neither speaking or meeting the woman's eyes. She turned and collected the little girl around eight years old, and put her in the cart the horse was attached to. The eldest girl in the cart, 12 or 13 nodded gratefully while her little brother, at most five, slept on her lap. Alia took the new born baby and handed him to the teenager. "how can we ever repay you?" the single mother asked. Her second husband had died not long ago, they were still mourning his loss. Finally Alia tossed in a bag of food and money. "Ride hard and ride far. Take the south path through the mountains just north of the river front. The path is a little unstable, but you'll be able to manage. It's three days journey to the the next town, rest when you see fit, but do not linger." alia disguised her voice with her head down. The pass was one she had taken a few times to collect a bounty. "keep moving. Get out of this place. The fog will not stop. When you get to Theiarus head straight for the capital." she handed the woman the reins and swatted the horse on the rear. "and don't ever look back" the horse jolted forward with a nice quick pace. "May the Gods bless you!" the woman cried in farewell her eyes wet in gratitude. Alia turned away "May the Gods bless you...mother." the course she had charted for them was different from the others. It was a little more dangerous but took a whole days travel out of the equation. The guards had known of it too, but could not use it, there were too many people, it was far too dangerous and perillous for them.
Alia walked in the darkness through the forest for quite a ways. After some time she came to the clearing. A stream traveled through this forest, it helped guide her out. She unsheathed her sword and thrust it into the ground infront of herself. Resting one hand on the hilt while the other clasped her staff. The moonlight shone bright this night. Alia could see in the distance, a mile or so, the Fog. A battle was nigh.

Tiberius stood alone in the towns square, not another soul dared to stay and fight for those who could not protect them selves. His weapon where drawn, a large kite shield covered his left arm and a sturdy mace in his right. Fate would have him die this day but it was an honorable death after all and that is all he wished for in his life. Brining him self to rest on a single knee he rested the butt end of his mace against his thigh and began to mutter a vow he head made upon entering the guardians. It was an order the served the king and the kingdom, striving to protect the people even it was an order form their lord.
Eventually he rose to his feet and stood with pride as his arms rested by his sides. His left eye glowed a teal color with wisps of magic coming from it. "This is my fate" he muttered to him self as he slowly took his guard. The fog grew thicker with each passing moment and soon enough it was past his knees and rising to his thigh. All feel silent causing his heart to quicken as he knew the battle was soon to come to his way. A howl pierced the silence and he could barely see ten feet in front before him and his chance where slim but this task was required of him.
Tiberius heard the sound of foot steps and they drew closer and the wail of an crazed animal soon followed. Lowing his shield he planted him self firmly into the ground as he watched a lunatic charge him. It was a man from another village but they had lost there humanity and turned into some creature, so this was the enemy he was forced to fight. Lowering him self he placed his shield below the hips of the man and heaved with all his might flinging the creature of his shoulder only to spin and bring the mace down on its head leaving a bloody stain on the cobblestone below. More would soon follow. __________________________________________________________

Alia Alia was overcome with all the insane people. They came screaming and howling. She cut down as many as she could, but there were too many. The weaker ones were leading, the stronger would arrive soon. She cried out as one tackled her, catching her off guard. Another kicked the sword she had just stabbed someone with. She saw the monster's eyes. Dark as night and crazed, twitching like the rest of his body. They started surrounding her chanting and calling out war cries. Alia closed her eyes and muttered under her breath. She felt steel touch the tip of her throat. Before he could strike roots from the trees sprang from the ground collapsing on the crowd. They screamed and tried to fight it offto no avail. One root wrapped around the man's neck who was on her. With a sickening snap he was off and Alia wasted no time in running. She had to fall back, there were too many. Those who weren't caught up in the shrubbery charged after her. She dodged the first arrow that zipped past her head, but could not recover from the one thqt hit her arm. She criednout in pain and ripped it from her flesh to stab one of the crazed people. Taking his sword in the process and following one of her favorite sayings. when in over your head, run like Hell. she danced through the forest, while the zombie like creatures had difficulty. Alia charged up the hill seeing the town below, if she made it, she would have a better chance of survival. Not much, but some.
She was nearly breathless when she got to the center of town. Alia raised her sword when she saw a person. She gave a confused look to the Noble. "you!?" she asked disbelieving. The call of the horde behind her stopped her thoughts. She whipped back around to face them sword at the ready.

Tiberius heard the sound of another and brought his gaze to the women who he had spoken to earlier. "Yes what of me" he question before he brought his gaze to the wound that was located on her arm. The sound of the approaching horde reached his ears and he had hoped the carven had made it a safe distance from this village but doubt filled his heart. "Tend to your wound" he said as he walked past her pushing her back slightly with the arm the held the shield. He stepped out in front of the women and once again sunk into a low stance awaiting the arrival of the horde.
However he wondered what had made her wonder why he chose to say here. It was possible that he had been mistaken for a noble and not a solider of the kings men? either way it did not matter from this point forwards as he saw a few rush towards him and he held strong. Their arrival was met with a single swing of his weapon which crushed the bone that held them in place. One sickening crack after another came from him as he dueled the two that where there. Focusing for a second a shimmer of blue light formed on the surface of his shield and that of her body. The spell deflected a single attack before shattering and pushing back the attacker.
Tiberius used this chance to dispatch his two attackers, which quickly feel to a crushing blow from the mace he wielded. However blood had splattered onto the clean surface of his armor and the cloth which came from under his armor. It would have to be washed or replaced. "Are you able to fight as more will come in the next few moments" he inquired as he gazed back at her for a moment. A quick fluid movement came from him and a teal colored hammer attached to a chain began to float about his body. It was a spirit weapon that was bound to him and it emitted a light which cleared some of the fog around them. __________________________________________________________

Alia Alia glared at the Noble. "I'll tend to it when we're finished." she couldn't believe he had even sugtested it. She was a former guard and bouny hunter. If she didn't know how to fight by now, she would have been dead long ago. She jumped back into the battle sliding past the sheild he had pushed her back with. Foolish Noble. So sure of his ways, he'd be suprised. Alia dropped her staff and reached into her boots pulling out eight daggers that fit inbetween her fingers and hurled them at the on coming enemies. She punched another in the nose and followed through with her elbow. "there are too many, we can't hold them back." she said to him taking hold of her staff. She crushed one in the face and spun it around to meet his legs. He fell back on his comrades. Arrows started falling down on them. She turned to the noble and her eyes widened. He had powers too. Alia looked at the weapon that hovered by him. "we have to pull back." she waved the staff through the air, as she did so a wave of fire ate away at the arrows. They were coming swifter now, growing larger. A whip shot out wrapping around her staff pulling her towards the horde.

Tiberius watched as the women fought recklessly in his opinion. Throwing daggers would do little against the larger foes which could be seen coming in from the depths of the fog. They looked to be made of bone but stood at an impressive height. Her words reached his ears and he merely brought his gaze to her. "Then leave if you so desire" he spoke as he blocked a blow with his shield. The clank and crash of metal filled the air around him as he beat back the men that attacked. Their bones lay crushed but he had no regret for those he killed, they might look as though there where human but they where nothing more then beasts.
The horde had been growing and his spirit weapon floated around his body only to move when he did. Seeing the whip grasping to her staff he rushed over driving the edge of his shield through the leather cutting it slightly but he had no way to cut through it. Instead he grasped it with his shield arm and pulled the creature back towards them and it would soon meet its end with the blunt edge of his mace. "Pull back I will cover your escape" he said in a commanding tone as he turned his back towards the women. He was more then willing to risk his life for another and he had one way to slow there pace.
Tiberius swung his arm forwards and the teal colored hammer moved before him, the chain that connect to the two lengthened to the proper distance. It spun for a few moments before it was given another command and swiped across the horde before them in one might swing. It collided with many bodies push them back and slowly there pace but this would not last forever and soon the weapon faded from existence. As of this moment he began to flee form the location but he still had a few tricks left up his sleeve. __________________________________________________________

Alia Alia recovered her staff and gave an icy stare at the man. "and leave you here? Not a chance." although she wasn't as experienced as he when it came to battle, her loyalty ran deep. It didn't matter to her that this noble had met her just earlier that day, now he was her ally and comrade, and she would not turn her back from battle while he would surely die. "I came here to protect my people, as long as I stand I will do just that. Two bodies will hit the ground this night. Not only yours." Yes they were definitely out numbered. But all the time they stalled was all the more time her people could get away. She drove one of the creatures through with her hand that weilded a sword, and slammed her staff into yhe ground. Upon doing so the area around them trembled rocking the area like the tide. Many fell over or tripped up, few stood. Even a couple builidings collapsed on the horde. Alia felt a litttle drained commanding her power like that, especially making it dodge the nobleman and herself. "listen to me." Alia said to him "I am a peasant. It doesn't matter if I live this day or die another. You, however are noble blood, you must lead your people as many days as you can. Don't you dare waste yourself out here in a battle that will do nothing in the long run" alia hoped he would see the logic in it. He being raised well had to have had some logic in his head. The creatures were on their feet once again angrilly storming at them. Alia drew her staff along the ground creating a wall of fire and pushed it at them. "choose quickly, your running out of time"
