It took me like half an hour to get Riolu.
And I'd yet to become Lucario, can you even evolve the main characters on that one?

defeat darkrai.

and your done theres nothing left to the game after that. but yeah you can evolve you and your partner after that. oh and you must unlock the place called marine resort.
