another question

Hi, it's the newbie again. Can't you chat w/ avatars in town? I get to town and see others chatting, but I don't know how to.
I think there may be something wrong with mine or something. Last time I went to town, there was a button to sit down in the bottom corner, and a bar that looked like you could type in. Is that supposed to be how you chat? It is not there now when I go to town. What do I do? I am confused. sad question
I would appreciate any help!

Yep, you type in the bar and then press enter to post your message.

If you aren't seeing it, than you probably have to change your screen resolution. Something higher than 800x600 should do the trick. Some people have had success with just hitting F11 as well.
