So I'm running pretty dry on podcasts to listen to while I'm at work and going to work without having stuff to listen to is just out of the question. I get a free audiobook at Audible.com, but all the other books are way too overpriced, and I'm not paying a monthly fee to get audiobooks, when it's going to raise up to $15 a month.
So! I'm finding other methods of obtaining them, and by that I mean totally going to the library and totally checking them out, totally. So give me suggestions on books I should "read" and I'll see if they've been "read" by someone else for me to "read."

Regular music is fine, but eight hours a day, four days a week makes me want a little more than just music to listen to.
I'd considered the Dark Tower, and trying to get into it, but it's apparently a seven part series, and that seems like a bit much to me. xd I'd be listening to it for ages if I wanted to listen to the whole thing. Are they kind of self-contained?

I've recently started listening to the Yogpod. (yogiverse.com)
As for books, dunno if this is your sort of thing, but maybe try the Discworld novels (start with The Colour of Magic) or the Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy books which I am reading now, and I have no idea why I didn't read these earlier 'cause they're awesome.

I listened to Penny Arcade, and it was great, just not recent, and with a podcast, I kind of want that. I liked Filmsack because it was about one specific movie, and even though I hadn't seen them, they were hilarious. I still listen to GoNintendo, and I'll still listen to Filmsack and The Morning Stream, but those don't add up to 32 hours a week.
Anyway, Cheesy, baby, what is Yogpod about and what are the Discworld Novels about?
And Trenn, s**t Gritefter.
