Depending on what time of year you visit, some areas will have drastic changes. Seasons change every month, beginning with spring in January, summer in February, autumn in March, winter in April, etc., etc.

Some places in particular are affected by the seasons:

Driftveil City - Rain sometimes falls from spring through autumn, but in winter, you'll sometimes see snow or hail.

Icirrus City - Rain often falls from spring through autumn, but during winter everything is covered in snow and you may see blizzards. Some items can only be reached during winter.

Mistralton City - Rain often falls from spring through autumn, but winter will sometimes bring snow and hail.

Route 8 - Rain often falls from spring through autumn, but in winter, the marsh is frozen solid and snow may be falling. You won't be able to catch some Pokemon here in winter.

Twist Mountain - In winter, the entire area is covered in snow. Some items are only reachable in winter, while you can only find an Ultra Ball during the spring, summer, or autumn.

Dragonspiral Tower - Snow covers the outside area in winter, the only time you'll be able to find a Nugget there.

Some places change on your birthday! In particular, Routes 14 and 15, normally covered in mist, will be clear and beautiful on your birthday if you have your birthday set in the Nintendo DS!
