Rules:
PM any of the crew members to inform us which god parents you would like
You can only apply for two gods at a time, but you dont have to apply for the second god if you dont want to
Must lable PM Try out or the message will be ignored
Each sample must be at least two good paragraphs long. The more the better chance of getting that god parent.
Lable each sample for the god parents you are applying for. And try to make the rp sample relavent to the rp and the god ((so stay in character)). We do not want to read a random post about something aside from the rp.
You are posting under this link for the rp samples. Only PM the crew only to tell them who you are trying out for.
The crew will decide which sample is better and tell you as soon as possible.
The crew has every right to deny any applications for gods so dont argue. If you agree say so in the PM so we know you read the rules.

Devon Lee Heart

Aphrodite & Nyx

Before Camp Half-Blood.

User Image

Thursday. Nothing special about Thursday.
Devon stepped off the bus and walked down the gravel road. He passed three trailer homes before turning left to his own. He opened the screen door to the trailer just as the wind started picking up, causing the door to fly open. Devon cursed under his breath as it began to rain. He quickly unlocked the main door and pushed inside, reaching out with one hand to force the screen door closed against the wind. He locked both doors and went straight to his room, throwing his bag on the bed that hadn't been made in weeks. He slipped off his jacket, and fell down onto his bed breathing slowly. He looked up out his window and shuddered as a huge lightening bolt came down, brightening the dark skies. He sat up to pull his curtains closed and laid back down on his back, closing his eyes. His breathing slowed gradually as he began to fall asleep.

His eyes shot open as his phone began to ring, causing his heart to skip a beat from slight fright. He pulled his phone out from his jeans pocket and looked at the caller-ID, Dad. He sighed and opened the phone, stopping his ringtone, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, from playing. "Yea?" He asked annoyed. He stayed still while he heard his father tell him it was time to pack up and get out. His dad didn't give him a chance to speak before hanging up. Devon figured his dad meant he didn't pay the last few bills and it was time to find a new place to live, so he gathered his belongings, which wasn't much, and waited in the front room. Thunder boomed, lightening brightening up the whole inside of the trailer. Devon got up and started pacing. Fifteen minutes passed before he heard someone pull up outside the trailer. He hefted his bag over his shoulder, making sure he had is knife and phone in his pocket before going outside. The rain was drenching him, making it hard to see clearly. There was a Taxi parked beside his house. A honk sounded and he ran over, opening the back door of the Taxi and getting inside. The doors locked instantly and he wiped the water from his eyes before looking around. In the front seat were three old women, each of which were laughing with crackled voices. Devon, feeling claustrophobic, tried unlocking the car door. It wouldn't budge.

"It's about time you joined your friends at camp." One of the ladies turned around with a smile, facing Devon. His eyes widened as he stared at the eyeless woman. The car was put into drive. Devon watched out the window as he saw the town he lived in for over seven years vanish behind him.

As you set foot beside Thalia's tree, a breeze blew past you. Unfortunetly, it became a heavier wind within a 2 minute period. After the winds had settled. You still walk, but everyone gasps as you pass. You have been given Aphrodite's Blessing. You have been claimed by the Goddess of Love herself.

Hades, Hermes

{{Lost in the Past}}

Tomas glared down at the dark streets below him. The streets that were littered with trash and stray dogs, these were his neighbors, that and crazy Mrs. Kore who killed cats and ate them. He shuddered visibly and shook his head. This was his home. The graphite lined walls of concrete had been his playpen, the dirty streets were where he learned to walk and the dirty stray animals had been his friends. Always his friends, through all the death and people he’d killed they’d always remained by his side. Especially the dogs, the big dogs were his favorites. His dogs, the same dogs he used to help him get his assignments done. The assignments given to him by the Head Honcho, the boss of the gang he was in. Tomas was his favorite, his protégée and Tomas loved having his attention and making him proud. The Boss was like the father he never knew. He supported him, encouraged him, albeit, what he encouraged Tomas to do were very dark and heinous deeds. But Tomas was good at what he did. That didn’t mean he enjoyed it though. On the contrary, Tomas didn’t like killing people, not for gains, he killed for protection.

He watched as two of the stray dogs tussled over a scrap of rotten meat and smiled. Then leaped down from his perch on the fire escape and walked right up to the stray dogs, who dropped the meat and turned to snarl at him. Tomas stayed where he was then pulled out a lean piece of meat from his pocket, instantly the dogs stopped snarling and wagged their tails eagerly. They knew who he was, they’d merely been bluffing. Tomas had raised these two from puphood after their mother abandoned them in a concrete pipe. The two walked right up to Tomas and whimpered pleadingly, Tomas chuckled softly and tossed each of them half of the meat. ”Stubborn dogs. I spoil you too much.” The dogs looked up at him expectantly. ”We have a new job, boys and this one’s a doozy.” With that said Tomas disappeared into the fogging morning with the two dogs at his side. Like a ghost in the mist in search of his latest prey.

Fallyn Celeste Connor

Nyx or Persephone.

Returning to Camp Half Blood for the summer.

User Image

A young brown haired girl was hidden under covers, trying to block the sound and light out. You would've thought she had awaken by now, after all her alarm clock has been going off for almost ten minutes now. But she was just so tired... And comfortable that she chose to ignore it. Plus she had been up all night as usual due to the fact she had insomnia. That was only one of the things she was diagnose with. ADHD, dyslexia, paranoia, bipolar, the list just goes on and on. "Fallyn, get up! You can't be late, you're going back to camp today." The high pitched voice rang out from what seemed to be only a few feet away. There was a little movement from the bed, and then she popped out from under the covers, yawning. "Mornin' Kathleen. Can't you just let me sleep for five more minutes?" she asked her foster mother sleepily.

Yes, foster mother. Fallyn didn't have family of her own. At least not anymore, not that any of them really loved her, except Bethany. It all happened in a family reunion a couple years back. Her father had knocked her aunt out, whom she had been staying with, and Bethany later died from blood loss. Then he advanced on her with a knife. When he had tried to kill her, something stranged happened. It was like some invisible force held him back and without thinking, she took the knife from him and stabbed him thus killing him. That night was like a horror movie. A few minutes later, the door bell rang and her stepmother showed up who saw the scene immediately, forcing Fallyn to kill her. Of course she fled as soon as possible. Whatever happened to her half brothers, she didn't know. They've been missing for years. Then the event that happened after that... It wasn't something she wanted to bring up, she still was affected from it today. Besides, why should she bring it up? She was perfectly fine now and hasn't been in a situation like that since.

After staying a couple years at Camp Half Blood, she decided to sort things out with her mortal life, mainly because of a little letter she had recieved. That meant going to child services herself and putting on a confused girl act to make sure they don't suspect anything. They couldn't find out that she had murder her father and stepmother. That was how she ended up like this. Here in the foster family today. The family knew about her being a half blood too. "Sorry Fallyn, I'm afraid you don't have the time. Now go take a shower and come downstairs for breakfast." With a groan, she climbed out of bed and stumbled into the bathhroom creating a show of how fatigued she was. Making her way to the shower, she turned the knobs until it was to the temperature that she liked, warm. After stripping off her night gown she leapt under the running water. Reaching for the shampoo kept in the back of the shower, she squirted some into her hand. Shutting the cap she then lathered it into her brown hair. It wasn't long until she finished, dressed, and came out of the bathroom.

Downstairs at the table, she scarfed down what had been set down for her, pancakes, in under five minutes and downed it with a cup of heavily caffeinated coffee--the one thing she depended on to get through each day. Or else she would just fall asleep on them. But the weird thing was even without caffeine, at night she was wide awake. That was one thing she could never figure out. Sometimes she would just use that oppurtunity to sit outside and stare at the sky. Astronomy interested her greatly. Fallyn yawned again as she got up from the table and placed the dishes in the sink. It wasn't long until her foster mother was rushing her out the door again, to get into the car.

The car ride was actually pretty long. Or longer than what she thought it would be. With Kathleen constantly chattering about this and about that. And telling her to stay out of trouble. Fallyn honestly wasn't a very talkative person and she was prone to get in trouble. That was the way she was. She was quiet and just listened for most of it. When they finally got to camp, she was almost relieved to get over the boundary lines and back to her demigod life.

The sun setting off in the distance, the sun just barely behind the mountain range in the horizon. The camp seeming empty, all resting inside their cabins. You look out your cabin window watching as the sky grew darker with each moment. Once the sun disapeared the sky went dark revealing all the stars in the open sky. Above you a star shined brightly upon you as if to put you in the spot light. Congrats, you have been claimed by the goddess of the night.

Oscar Kale Evans
Zeus
Fighting the hellhound before going to camp.

Oscar was running at speed as if there were no tomorrow, wind swept hair graced his head. Black hair and clothes, white skin and bright blue eyes. To a passerby, he was but a flash of black. Could a passerby even see him from so far down below as Oscar raced and jumped from roof top to roof top. Jumping over large gaps as though the were nothing, planting his foot and hand at the right moment to absorb the impact of landing, or landing, and bending at the knees to roll forward to dissipate his energy. There was no better feeling to him than just running and moving through the air. He Vaulted over a high rise and landed smoothly to continue on his run when he was stopped. Standing in his path, Almost waiting for him was a creature he had never seen before nor imagined. Large with brownish black fur, splotches of raw skin and exposed tight muscle. Teeth like a horribly gone wrong bear trap. It's growl was gut wrenching and it's smell even more so. It's eyes like wild fire and dead set on him. It approached with one step, and Oscar took a step back.

His heart was pumping fast from the running, but now it beat like a war drum at such speed, he could hear it in his own ears. His adrenaline felt like fire in his veins as fear overcame reasoning. Yet even as he looked at this creature, he felt a kind of....remembrance of something. Another step toward him and another one back fro it. Another growl before the beast lunged at him. However, instead of fear gripping him and making him run, he did something he himself didn't expect. He reacted without thought as he side stepped enough to just barely dodge the creature, and drove his knee up into the jaw of it and his elbow down onto it;s head, forcing it's mouth shut on it's own tongue. The tongue dropped from being bitten off and dissolved into golden dust. The creature back away and whimphered at the pain, but took to menacing eyes on Oscar. Oscar took up form, one leg leaning back, he weight supporting leg, while his other extended forward, on the ball of the foot, his left hand forward and loosely open, the other curled into a fist at his side. he was ready to recieve an attack, and counter it. The creature lunged again, slashing at him with a claw. he narrowly avoided it, but his Lynyrd shirt was shredded and he had light scratches on his chest. "THIS WAS MY FAVORITE SHIRT!!!!" He hollered. It was a vintage shirt from the concert of the original band, his mother gave it to him as a birthday present. He gritted his teeth as the creatrure made another slash at him with it;s claws. He stepped into it, avoiding the claws and got in close. It snapped at him, but he palm thrusted under it's jaw, forcing it's mouth closed even as blood dripped from the stub of a tongue left. He punched with his free hand at it's eyeball, and grabbed at it. He gripped and pulled it from it';s socket. the eye turning to gold dust in his hand. The creature was severly wounded, but it trampled over him, breaking a few of his ribs to get away.

Oscar stood up, holding his ribs, He couldn't fight like this, he'd loose at least a fourth of his speed, but the creature was in pain and half blind. He could fight, but one injury was the start of many. This couldn't go on or he would die. Suddenly, he heard a voice calling his name. looking to the side, he saw someone climbing the ladder, and recognized the old worn in beanie. Master Glade, his pankration instructor. He looked from oscar to the creature and sneered. "hey kid, here, a gift from your mum. That thing's a hell hound, and it's gonna kill you if you don't kill it first." Glade spoke. Glade threw him something and caught it by reflex. An ornate bullet on a necklace? no, wait, he saw the seam on it. He was about to look to glade when the hell hound made his move again. He jumped back and pulled the bullet free from the necklace, and in an instant, the small object became an ornate, full sized sword. "what the hell?" he asked in astonishment. But had no time to wonder as the creature was on the offensive again. Glade was hammering it';s side with punches but that did little, it's hide was tough. Though as he held the sword, he felt a sense of peace and power building up from the pit of his stomach. Taking the sword, he swung at it's mouth and struck out a large sum of it's teeth, distracting it. He jumped to the wall adjacent to him, wall planted, kicked off higher and brought the sword over his head. As he came down, he broght the blade down and decapitated the hound. It instantly dissolved into gold dust leaving just him and glade.

Oscar looked to glade whom looked him over from where he stood. he walked to him and stopped and kneeled down, picking up the teeth and walking over to oscar, kneeling. e placed the teeth into his pocket. "these are yours the spoils of war." Glade spoke, before he grabbed oscar's hand and moved the sword to the necklace knife sheath. the sword shank until it became the neck knife again disguised as an ornate bullet. Glade helped oscar to his feet. "Come on kid, we need to get you home, there is alot of explaining to do." He spoke. Oscar was a bit breathless to speak at the moment. But as he walked with glade, he could see his beanie had been torn off. and under it, was curly hair and what appeared to....."Horns?" asked oscar.

Glade looked to him and nodded. "aye lad, I'm a satyr. and Your, a demigod."

Standing on the roof of the Hermes cabin the night sky cooled the air after a long day of the warm summer day. Leaning on the railing that over looked the camp you seem more at ease within the air. Everyone was ready for lights out and in your bed. Thunder rolled across the sky creating a deep rumble in your chest. Flash of lightning blinded you before an large bird landed in front of you. The creature held intellegance before letting out a loud cry waking all around. Congrats you have been claimed by the lord of the skies.

A crash erupted from the Hermes cabin as a boy with long black hair fell out of the bed. "s**t! That kinda hurt there!" he said to himself. This boy was Dante, he was wearing his signature sleeping outfit, a pair of grey sweatpants and a black undershirt. It was going to be a long day. He'd been here a while, and still has not been claimed. Hurry father, please claim me! he thought to himself as he walked to the cafeteria area to get some breakfast. Dante never got dressed before breakfast, ever. It was a rule of his, and he didn't really know why he did it. Corrupted thoughts flickered in the back of his mind, what if his father didn't want him, what if the other gods wouldn't accept who his father is. Those bastards. Dante Calix Black would NOT go unclaimed anymore, he made sure of this. The man NEEDED to be claimed, not just to finally have his own place at camp, but to finally be accepted among his cousins. Dante was sick and tired of dealing with Hermes cabin. It wasn't that he didn't like them, but it was that he was EASILY annoyed by their jokes.

Sitting in your bed your stare into the fire. The warmth had always comforted you especially when darkness surrounded you. Watching the flames lick the wood placed in only a short while ago the fire cracked in the silent air. You can feel the life in the fire and you can feel the pull of the darkness around you. The fire cracked again louder this time stirring everyone in your cabin awake. Cracking louder this time before flames erupted from the stone fireplace. Surrounding your the flames licked yoru skin but there was no pain only warmth. Congrats, you have been claimed by the dark lord hades.

Alexander Llywellyn Jones

Apollo & Dionysus

{ At 'home' the day before returning to camp. }

User Image

An antique lamp, two front windows, most of his step-father's respect and one professional dart board- all necessary casualties in Alexander's quest for self-improvement. Of course, there were probably better ways of going about it. He just couldn't risk going back to camp with no practice. He would suffer the shame of being beaten again, and again, and then a little more. Now, Alexander wasn't that excited about combat- at least not as excited as the children of Athena or Ares- but he was excited not to be the worst person on the field for something that truly mattered. He had been told many times, that he was told several times that he was good at other things- mostly by his mother. This never helped his ego, especially recently. Singing, dancing, a general knack for having more fun than any other person in the room; those were his natural talents but chances were they would never get him anywhere in the future. He was reaching an age where everything he did or didn’t do would affect the rest of him life. Heck, sometimes he even felt like he was starting to get old. He shivered at the thought. Of course, he didn’t mean old as in over 50 with arthritis or anything. He just felt that the threshold between childhood and adulthood would soon be crossed.

He shook his head. These were morbid thoughts. He would stretch out his child-like, fun loving nature as long as possible. Besides, he would be returning to camp tomorrow. The excitement itself urged the boy to celebrate. Something frivolous was in order, and he already knew what he desired. He marched himself across the empty kitchen to the fridge. His mother and step-father were both at work, his older brother had already moved out a few months ago and his older sisters had an appointment at the spa. Alexander didn’t really mind, it allowed him the time to do as he pleased. He could parade around the house in his underwear, spend hours mindlessly staring at the television. The boy had his sights aimed at a task slightly more civilized. He wrenched open the refrigerator door and stuck his head inside.

He searched every shelf carefully, looking for his prize. Ah. There it was, at the very back of the second shelf, hidden under multiple plastic containers of left-over food. Alexander dug out a white, square box with wide eyes. He had been waiting for this for months. His eyes fixated on the box, Alexander shut the fridge door with the heel of his foot. He heard it crash shut as he made his way to the cutlery drawer. He pulled out a fork at random, and then opened his box to reveal what he had been longing for. An entire cheesecake. No strawberries or cherries or chocolate. He preferred his cheesecake plain. He smiled as he plopped himself down at the dining room table. He had every intention of demolishing the whole thing by himself. He had never had to worry about weight before in his life. His metabolism was so fast that the cake would probably help him maintain his current weight.

The first bite was always the best. He let the flavour linger on his tongue for a few moments before devouring the rest. As he chewed and swallowed and chewed again, he began humming a familiar, yet unknown, tune. It was sweet and docile. Alexander guessed it was a lullaby, probably for when he was an infant. Alexander lifted his head, and glanced around him. He would miss his family, but there was just such a more pleasing sensation in the knowledge that he would be returning to where he truly belonged.

Camp Half Blood look out! Your world is about to be rocked, by none other than seventeen-year-old Alexander Llywellyn Jones. As this thought ran through his mind, a devilish smirk made it's way across his face. If I'm no longer going to be a child, I better make sure my final days are full of fun and excitement. Say hello to the beginning of the end.

You have always been one for music and poetry along with the brigth sunny days. Today was no different, sitting with the others of the hermes cabin in the shade of hte trees everyone seemed to be playing instruments. You joining in with the joined tune the music seemed to flow smoothly around the group. The longer you play the brighter you seemed to get. Eventually everyone stopped seeing you litterly glow in the sunlight. Unaware of everyone staring you continue to play till you realize that everyone had stopped and you feel rather warm. What you didnt realize till another pointed out that a ray of light broke through the shade of hte tree and fell upon your shoulders like a spotlight. Congrats, you have been claimed by the god of sun and music.

Akakallis D'Archangel Dark
Ares or Athena
First few days in Camp Half-Blood

User ImageAkakallis stood still, she was in the forest away from most people she grinned once as she pulled out the sword that had been strapped to her side. She kissed the blade once with her black painted lips, shutting her black and blue eyes she took up a warrior's stance. She had no opponent in a sense, but in fact she was fighting one within her own mind, a inner demon some might say. She started to move quickly, her sword sung though the air making a slightly whistling noise as she was not held back by the leather armor she wore over her chest and legs. She was not use to the weight but it seemed that she was, she parried a invisible strike that would have sent her head rolling to the ground. She smirked slightly,"Gotta do better then that." She whispered as she whipped around this time her sword clashed against someone else's."What in the name of Zeus." She swore as she opened her eyes, before her stood a cloaked figure he was not of the camp that was clear. Without a word from either of them they went into a frenzied battle she let out a startled yelp as her sword was kicked from her hand, she was then forced on her knees by the person in black though not for long as she sunk her teeth into his leg, her teeth going into his skin making him bleed and then she felt a sharp pain to the back of her head and the forest ground was racing up to meet her. She had been knocked out cold by the cloaked man.
