Quests

This a sub forum for quests. Each quest will be posted up by one of the crew after a group decision. Each quest will only be able to have four members on the quest. If you want to be on the quest its a first come first serve, so PM one of the members who had set up the current quest.

Each quest will be rped like normal but the information for the quest will be given ahead of time. Depending on the quest the time period to rp will range from a day or two.

Combat will be done in a dice form action. When in a battle each will be given chances to roll a dice to see if their attack or doge will work. Attack dice will be six sided and defense will be four.

Throughout the quest a crew member will jump in and roll a dice to see if the next part of the quest will be a fight, trap, injury, ect. Before each quest there will be an audience with the oracle, this will determine what you must find and what you will be going up against. Rolling a dice will determine the task, we will give you a heads up with a post in the quest link. It is up to you to be active or there will be a chance of failure in the quest.

At the end of the quest each member will have to roll a varried sided dice, depending on activity of the quest. An even number will result in a complete quest an odd number will result in a failure. This means the majority of the even and odd numbers will determine the quests outcome.

Attack

Whenever there is a battle the battle will be based around the number that you will roll. The attack dice will be a six sided die, roll and rp around the number that you got.

1: Complete miss
2: Near miss
3: hit but no damage
4: Hit a staggering blow
5: Hit, minor injury
6: Critical hit

Defense

In a battle after everyone had attacked once there will a four sided dice. This will be in a new post, dont try to combine it in one because it will not work. So after one attack post there will be a defense post.

1:Failed dodge ((high risk of injury))
2:Failed dodge ((mild risk of injury))
3: Successful dodge ((small risk of injury))
4: Successful dodge ((no injury))

Posting

How the posting will work for battle is each member will be allowed one attack and one defense post at a time. So if you were to attack then the next post will be a defense post. Once everyone has done both of their attack and defense posts then you may start over with another round of attack and defense posts. The purpose of this is to give everyone a chance to post and be active.
In between the battles and such randome events then the posting will continue as normal. But crew members will decide to jump in at random points to get the posting going again or to throw in a twist. How this is done is a decision with the crew members to throw in a twist that you as a team must work out.
To throw in traps we will roll a dice of our own as we number and lable the trap or twists. You will be able to see the random event and continue.

Ending of Quests

Like in the books the quests are only open for so long. We will be following the same concept. Time limits on the quests will vary but they be on average two to three days long. Depending on how far along with the posting you are will allow a larger sided dice to roll. If you are inactive you are given a smaller dice with a better chance of loosing.
If you are successful in a quest then you get a prize. If you fail then better luck next time. Remember the more active you are the better chance you are able to win. Each of your team will roll the suggested dice and the majority of odd or even numbers will decide if you win or lose.

Major activity: eight sided dice = even is a win odd is a loss
Mild activity: 6 sided dice = even is a win odd is a loss
Little activity: 4 sided dice = even is a win odd is a loss

Oracle

Much like the books before each quest the members will come to get a prophecy. Try not to expect much rhyming its hard enough to do one let alone one for each quest. sweatdrop But there will be a 'prophecy' for each quest where there will be a number of things that will appear in your quest. On average there will be multiple monsters but you wont find out until you are on the quest. There will be a sort of twist in the middle, and there will be an ending goal. Depending on how much you are given in your quest there will be a number dice rolled to see what will happen.
