This thread is going to be slightly different than most in here. First of all, for those who have played Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, you can brag about the adventures you have been on and therefore helping yourself when you get to the ending.
But, for those who have not played, you may talk about gems, ores, jewelery and such as a random discussion thread also.
If you are too lazy to do either, then this can serve as a "bump" thread, but with a catch, you must name a gem or an ore instead of saying bump.

Fun facts about Crystal Chronicles!
Terminology
Moogle Hut - a place in every location where you gain a stamp.
Command list - I call these pockets since the artifacts that add more to this all have the word "pocket" at the end. This is where you can place spell orbs, phoenix downs, and food.
Phoenix Downs - like an extra life in Super Mario Brothers.
Treasure chests - contains something important. Get as many as you can.
Artifacts - status enchancers
Gil - money
Focus attack - generate energy into your weapon before releasing it on your enemy.
Selkie - one of 4 tribal races you can be.
Level 1 - River belle Path 1st Visit
Treasure chests - 7 Artifacts - 4 Locked gates that have keys - 3
Enemies to face:
Goblins - mostly with a jagged knife these things are just plain annoying. Small ones die easily, but its the bigger ones carrying the good stuff (3 carry artifacts) are twice as difficult to defeat.
Fire wielding Porcupines - there aren't too many of these and are supposed to be more challenging than the goblins. If you use a focus attack with a Selkie, they are gone in one hit. The thing is, once you enter a level, you cannot change characters unless you go out the entrance, which is like starting the level over.
Treasure chest 1 - cure orb Treasure chest 2 - mystery recipe (This may or may not help your tribal character) Treasure chest 3 - Artifact Treasure chest 4 - Mystery recipe Treasure chest 5 - Novice Weapon Recipe Treasure chest 6 - Life orb (Combine this with Blizzard, fire, or thunder with this new orb on bottom to create the spell called Holy.) Final treasure chest - Bronze Armor recipe.
Recipe shopping lists
Novice weapon
Money 1 Iron
Bronze Armor
Money 1 Bronze
Upgrading your Travel Clothes to Bronze Armor will boost your overall defensive stats by 3 points. It also softens enemy attacks.
Boss Battle 1 - The Giant Crab
Attack and run.
Seriously this is the best strategy.
Giant crab can:
Stage 1 - shoot thundaga at you (most powerful thunder spell to leave you frozen in place and is cheap), Shoot bubbles that slow you down (he can cast slow and Thundaga in this stage.) He can also smash you with his armor plated skull and swipe you with his claw.
Stage two - cast slow by using his bubble attack, smash you with his head.
Stage 3 - the thunder returns. He casts Thundara (the medium thunder spell) and slow (bubble attack again)

Important characters
Sol Racht- A lilty from Alfitaria
He worships someone called The Black Knight
Rolf Wood- A lilty from Marr's Pass.
Rolf can give you spare weapons, materials, and advice when encountering him.
The Black Knight
A Lilty who came from Alfitaria. His mission was to cleanse the world of a harmful substance called Miasma to no avail. He eventually lost all of his memories and later on his life.
Stiltzskin
A travelling moogle. He is important for gaining some memories and you might see him in Miasma streams. He's cute and funny. He also gives you lessons in combat in case you forget.
Mog
Your companion in dungeons. He carries a chalice for you while you slay monsters. He may get tired or too hot, therefore having you to carry your own chalice. This can be useful sometimes because there are some parts in the game where it is better that you do the work instead of Mog.
In places called Moogle Huts, you may also add some paint to Mog. The only purpose of painting him helps you if you hook up a GBA to the Cube, really. But, it is also fun to do and to practice your creativity.
I personally do this just to have a bit of fun.
Dah Vis + Hana Kohl
The lazy couple from Leuda. These Selkies are actually pretty helpful later on in the game, and they give you a decent break from battling monsters all the time.
A comic relief.
Giant Crab
The Boss of River Belle Path. He blows bubbles to slow you down and various thunder spells to halt you in your tracks. If you have the thunder badge equipped, he just does a light show for you and becomes an easy boss.
*It becomes funny if you use fire spells against him. Baked Crab anyone?*
Goblin King
An oversized Goblin Mage. If it wasn't for his goblin lackeys, this boss would be laughable to pass.

Mail Moogles
Upon collecting from the Myrrh trees, you see these little guys with a letter just for you.
Often times, they give word from your family, who has one of 8 careers. It is important to try and send items that fit your family's trade.
The trades are:
1. Blacksmith 2. Alchemist 3. Tailor 4. Merchant 5. Fisherman 6. Miller 7. Rancher 8. Farmer
Moogle stamps
The importance of Moogle huts besides a good break you can get from battle.
There are 23 in all to visit. And there is one in each place on the map you can access except for miasma streams. Some are harder to find than others.
Below I shall list where I found them.
1. Home - Behind the giant crystal where Roland and his wife stand guard. 2. River Belle Path - across the first available bridge, down the side path and up the hill behind a rotary rock. This one is well hidden. 3. Local Port - in a cave not quite on the sand 4. Goblin Wall - Up the first ramp behind the first two skull gates. Nicely tucked in there.
Miasma stream 1
5. Mushroom Forest - near the end of the level. Jump on a springy mushroom where there is an artifact chest and to your right there is the moogle hut. Nice spot.
6. Marr's Pass - down the steps just before the exit to Jegon Creek east. 7. Mine of Cathuriges - Corridor 3 on Platform three to the far left.
Miasma Stream 2
8. Alfitaria - through the welcome gate, turn right, down a set of stairs and through a small watering hole. Tricky one to find. 9. Haunted Tipa Village aka Worm city - (update later) 10. Moschet Manor - In the room with the fireplace where a chair looks like it cold get burned. What are these moogles? Rats?
Miasma Stream 3
11. Veo Lu Sluice - North along the path, skipping the boss gate. There should be a griffin and a water flan in your way to getting to it.
12. Shella - must have a mark of shella first to get over the bridge. Its tucked under the closest house to you passed it.
Miasma Stream 3 Miasma Stream 2
13. Jegon River West - imitation of a Hobbit house. 14. Fields of Fum - Follow the path to the only real home in here. Has a mailbox and everything! 15. Selepation cave - (update later) 16. Daemon's court - Under the steps passed some torch ghosts.
Miasma Stream 4
17. Selkie Paradise (not the real name of the place) - (Update later) 18. Rubena Te Ra - passed the first gate with key, passed the first 2 element gates, and through a "trap door". Interesting location.
Tristan's boat
19. Mount Kilanda - passed the first set of Fire bats and squirrels. Its to the first area to the right of the entrance. You can't miss this one. Its pretty easy to find.
Tristan's boat
20. Leuda - Behind a tent. 21. Lynari Desert - follow the sandy floor and keep left. Eventually, you will come up an "exit highway/freeway ramp" (not really an exit to world map) around a bend and behind the artifact treasure chest that you must open to access.
The other 2 stamps are when you find the "Treasure of the Lynari Desert" and obtain the "element that rules the other 4".
Location of the "Holy Miasma Stream" or Miasma Stream 5 is passed Rubena Te Ra. There are 2 lands there that the remaining moogle stamps are.

Here is the translation of "Gurdy's" poem.
Step 1 - Lightning brings the cactus pain, now it all begins again. Go straight ahead from where you start, killing everything in your path. You need a stone of Thunder in order to do this step.
Find the large cactus on the left wall where you would have just fought 1-2 scorpions and a Zu (giant bird). In the same area, to know you are in the right one, you would have passed the Three rocks that await the winter's kiss, one by one they find their bliss.
Cast Thunder on the cactus to cause it pain, ha ha!
Step 2 - Of crumbled inn Few reminisce, its faulty beams shall not be missed.
Turn right from the cactus you just zapped, again fighting enemies along the way until you come to the next "examine" spot. It will be right by one of three sand spitting geysers. That's the crumbled inn.
Make those faulty beams fall by casting Gravity (two basic stones fused together. Blizzard + Fire, Thunder + fire, Thunder + Blizzard)
Step 3 -Lonely mushroom bursts to flame in the land that quicksands claim. Know where we are? That's right! The Lynari Desert! Head South from the Cumbled inn along the wall of the spitting geysers until you reach a tilting rock that has "examine" with it.
Cast fire on the tilting rock, that's the lonely mushroom.
Step 4 - Three rocks await the winter's kiss, one by one they find their bliss.
Remember the cactus you fried with lightning? Those three rocks are there too.
Cast blizzard on the rocks in the order of from smallest to largest.
Final step - In the end shall bloom a flower, thus reveals sacred power.
Anything "sacred" is "Holy". So, there's your hint for what spell to use. You are going to go near the beginning along the left wall, there will be a transparent cactus flower, its beautiful!
Cast Holy on this transparent flower and drop your chalice in the new hot spot.
By correctly following these 5 steps, you will never have to change your chalice element ever again for the duration of the game.
