The Royals
Queen Maya
Ruler of the Hartlands and a Seer.
Crown Prince Tristam
Named heir to Maya, also a Seer. Maya's nephew and Charlotte's cousin.
Princess Charlotte
Maya's daughter, but not a Seer and therefor not eligible for the throne. She has studied battle tactics under Rolan and is the Second in Command for the Hartland Militia. She is also in charge of discovering and dealing with domestic threats.
The Inner Court
Rolan
Scarred veteran of the Talon Wars, he acts as a War Adviser to Maya as well as Commander and Chief of the Hartland Militia in times of war.
Rettai
Rettai is a mutated ghost with a tragic and mysterious past. Though he hates every living thing and would love to murder them all, Maya and the other members of the royal family have some sort of hold over him, so he may not harm anyone without their say so. Rettai acts as a bodyguard for the royals and an enforcer when needed.
Archivist Cindel
She is quiet, shy and rarely seen. Cindel keeps the history of the Hartlands protected and is constantly adding to the records of Herla kind.
