Mega Man Network Transmission
The second game in the continuity of the battle Network series, this game is one of those sequels that throws away almost everything from the first game, which I had never even played at the time of this. Ironically, it's closer in play to the actual Mega Man games than it's predecessor.
Personally, I prefer it. I wish they had made more Mega Man games like this. The sound track was unique and awesome, and it seemed to combine Mega Man with a sort of Metro-Vania type exploration.
The card system took a little learning, but the mega-buster was still useful, especially at the beginning, which is the only time you'll absolutely need it.
It was a game that deserved a sequel in it's own right, but the Gameboy games sold better, and I don't think many people know it to have existed.
