Last night, I came up with a set of kimeti I absolutely loved the idea of - a band of three siblings. Each sibling's focus is on a different point in time - past, present, and future.
The idea stuck with me all night, and I've come up with names for them, and I think that they'd make awesome kimeti to RP with as well as to have for the eyecandy. I particularly like to think of the future-kimeti as being a Legendary, with one eye forever on the future fate of the swamp, and will be working toward that once I get the kimeti in this quest.
Edit: 'Last night' was now a long time ago, and I don't remember the third name or naming dream, but I'd like to revisit this concept sometime in the future.

A Sober Coloring is a solitary sort of kimeti, preferring only his siblings for company, if any company must be had. It is only when he is seeking to learn a new story of the swamp's past that he seeks out others, and when he does that, he is very intent on his task, focusing far more on the story than on the kimeti he has sought out. Sober is not a party animal by any stretch of the imagination, but does not look down on anyone who is. He does, however, believe that the past is something the kimeti must learn, in order to progress forward with their lives.
naming dream
It is a slowly moving image, burning deep into his brain, etched there as with a sharp hoof on a soft stone. The sun, initially high in the sky, is setting, but it is setting on a vast and empty world, where no swamp exists, no kimeti are standing, no trees, no animals. Only him, standing and watching as the sky shifts from the vivid brightness of mid-day toward sunset, but a sober coloring of sunset, all greys and browns instead of the vivid hues of a proper sunset. It is a sepia-stained sunset, and it, too, fades away, leaving him alone...

physical description
What I hope to eventually see is all of the siblings with very similar markings, though not precisely the same. I am going to be adding palettes for each of the siblings, and I hope that on any given sibling, a tiny touch (one or two only) of the other siblings' colors will show up, thus linking them together. Likely the first of my quest kimeti will be a semi-custom, and the others will fall into place around it, but I haven't decided that, yet.

Light in Cloud Shadows is a cheerful soul whose focus is the present. Though she understands the need to learn from the past and plan for the future, she is most dedicated to being the best she can be in any given moment - the sweetest, the brightest, the happiest, the strongest... the best. However, she is not so competitive that she will push aside others to be her best. She will take a step back when she realizes that someone else is better than her, or needs the moment to shine. Her drive is to better herself, not step above those around her. Cloudshadow defers to her brothers when looking to the past and future. In looking to the past, she seeks out Sober to listen to his tales, in the hopes that she may find instruction from them. In looking to the future, she allows Visionary to guide her and advise her.
naming dream
It comes and goes, the dappling of sunbright light over the swell and fall of soft cloud. It is fluid, ever-changing, ever-journeying, constant only for a single moment, for this moment, this second of now that is all she has. Her eyes follow the movement, tracking light in cloud shadows until they are so dazzled that she sees nothing else. It moves over her fur in an almost palpable brush, teasing through her before fading into the past, as another begins anew. It is her.
