Humans have typically always seen Bakus as benevolent and positive creatures who rid them of their nightmares. That being said, there have also been stories of more negative ones that devour all dreams, regardless of whether they are good or bad, therefore leaving the person bare of any dreams at all. However, there have never been--or only very, very rarely--stories that tell of Bakus who do the complete opposite of what they are supposed to. Even so, Xiu-Ying falls into this category: she is a Baku who will only devour the good dreams of humans, leaving behind nightmares for the dreamer to suffer through.
Personality:
(This was her Y1 personality, so it needs...a bit of a revamp. She's not really skittish/timid anymore as she's become a lot more headstrong. Still very motherly and a nag though afsgffj)
Despite coming off as malevolent as far as Bakus go, Xiu-Yang is, in reality, a rather soft-spoken and considerate demon. Though she will only eat the good dreams of humans, this is more so to generate FEAR than her attempt to be malicious. Though she ordinarily will not eat nightmares, she will make an exception for friends who are suffering in their dreams.
Unfortunately, because of how easily frightened she is, it is inevitable that she will be scared of some of the students that walk the Academy's halls. Those whose appearances are very similar to those of ordinary humans are fine by her--she was grown up taught that humans were generally weak and posed little threat--but if the student has unusual features that she finds threatening or intimidating, Xiu tends to respond by either freezing up or fleeing. In some cases, if she really feels the need to defend herself, Xiu will attempt to incapacitate the other person (usually by a weak, albeit well-aimed, punch or kick) before fleeing.
Because of her weakness, Xiu will act differently according to who she is interacting with. If she is in the company of someone who looks relatively "normal" or someone she has grown comfortable with, her teasing and motherly personae tend to shine through. However, with her motherly persona comes her tendency to be a bit of a nag and a busybody. In a way, it's only her way to show others that she cares about them and is concerned for their well-being, but it also--understandably--ultimately grates on some people's nerves.
On the other hand, when she's dealing with someone who intimidates her, Xiu is far more likely to come off as timid and excessively polite. She is well aware of this problem, but she isn't sure how to go about fixing it. Overcoming a fear isn't something that can simply be done overnight, but it will take a great deal of patience and dedication.
Xiu has an interest in plants, particularly herbs and their various usages. Her favourite hobbies are cooking and baking.

Natural Ability:
Bakus have the ability to enter and devour the dream of a sleeping target. They may interact with the dreamer in the dream world, but are unable to directly interact with any other characters or objects that may be present in the dream. From her time here at Amity, Xiu has learned to warp and mold dream settings as well.
FEAR:
Illusion based. Xiu attempts to give her opponent a sense of heaviness (e.g. by warping the surroundings/creating an illusory weight) before lunging out to deal a series of kicks. [Swift Strikes - Uses Y3 Rolls]
Illusion based, used to distract. Xiu uses her illusions to conjure up a waking nightmare scenario with her opponent, based primarily on either their most recent nightmare or a current fear/concern. [The Mind - Uses Y2 Rolls]

Non-battle Effect: You can create and summon a small craft-and-paper created guardian from any piece of paper/napkin/ etc. It doesn't do much but float around, and it's a little less entertaining than a minipet...
Requirements: Pass the class Arts and Crafts 101
Quote: Beginner Disguise:
Difficulty level: Beginner
Pre-requisites: N/A
Battle Effect: N/A
Non-battle Effect: Your character can temporarily alter their appearance to look like anyone they have traded student pins with (as long as they are wearing the pin). This only lasts 5 minutes for Y1, 10 for Y2, and 30 for Y3. This is an illusion and is broken if they are attacked. They still sound like themselves though okay, it isn't that advanced. The illusion appearance is only of their student form and not their natural form.
Requirements: Successfully complete Disguise for Dummies (aka the TL;DR class)
Artifacts:
Seven King's B-Class Artifact: Xiu is also able to produce an illusion over herself in order to cloak her identity within dreams (e.g. she can take the form of another person, a stranger, an animal, etc). However, this only possible only when in the dream of someone who has less FEAR than she does.

Arashi
Arashi was Xiu's first pet, and so she's extremely fond of him. Though he tends
to be a little lazy--as one may expect from a feline--he is extremely loyal to
Xiu. When it comes to judging others, he seems to read off of Xiu's emotions,
acting friendly to those the ghoul likes and being more aggressive around
those who Xiu dislikes or fears.
Jian and Shu
Jian and Shu were originally Xiu's uncle's minipets. Her uncle sent them to her
partly because he knew that she would like them, but mostly because he
wanted the pair to keep an eye out for and protect Xiu--after all, there were
all those rumours milling about lately. Jian is the moodier of the two--he's
untrusting of almost everyone, and tends to be wary if anyone gets too close
to Xiu or Shu. Shu, on the other hand, is sweet and social, always happy to
make new friends.
